Jonathan Tuck, the younger brother of Nicole Tuck, the “All I Do Is Win” artist’s fiancée — was trying to buy marijuana when someone shot him in the face about 9:15 p.m. in a second-floor apartment on Washington Ave. near E. 185th St, in the Bronx.
The tragic event occured on Sunday. The Belmont apartment was less than a half mile from his home, cops said.
Tuck, later died at St. Barnabas Hospital.
A 34-year-old man was taken into custody for questioning, but are unsure if he was the shooter,” and despite the speculation, “Law enforcement is still unsure if the transaction is what caused Tuck’s death,” either.
Reacting to Tucker’s death, best friend Brandon Davis said: “He’s a good guy”.
Davis, 30, who’s known Tuck for seven years felt “He was in the wrong place at the wrong time. There was no reason for him to be there.”

Davis, who coaches football, said he first met Tuck in 2011 when Tuck played defensive end for the Bronx Colts. They had remained friends ever since.
The two were supposed to watch the Super Bowl together Sunday night, but Tuck never showed, Davis said. At 4 a.m. Monday, Tuck’s girlfriend called with the tragic news.
“All I can think about is I’m sitting here celebrating football and my friend is across town dying,” Davis said.
Tuck [left], and his sister were close, Davis said, though he wouldn’t comment on how Nicole Tuck or DJ Khaled were coping with the tragedy.
DJ Khaled was in Minneapolis for the Super Bowl when Tuck was killed, according to social media posts.
Police sources said Nicole Tuck and her mother rushed to the Bronx after learning of the shooting.
Nicole Tuck did not return messages seeking comment, and a representative for Khaled declined comment Monday night.
Family friends crowded Tuck’s apartment Monday night to mourn his death.
“He was a good man. He leaves a daughter … He was working overnight stock in New Jersey,” said one family friend, who said: “We’re hurting. We’re grieving. We’re devastated.”
Police took a 34-year-old man into custody for questioning Sunday, but as of Monday, no one had been charged with Tuck’s killing.
Davis, the godfather of Tuck’s 1-year-old daughter, said his family deserves to know what happened in the Bronx apartment.
“He was my friend. I loved that guy. I’ve argued with him, I’ve bled with him. We’ve talked, prayed and cried. The good and bad, that’s my family,” Davis said.
“I just want to know what this was about. His mother deserves that. His father, his sister, his daughter deserves that. I hope they find the answer.”
