<p class="mol-para-with-font">An Illinois man who once wrote ‘I want to kill my parents’ on a bathroom mirror has reportedly admitted to killing his mother and father after initially staging a burglary at his house in an attempt to deceive investigators.<br />
Jose Ramirez, 21, was arrested on Monday and charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of his parents, Bradley University English professor Susan Brill De Ramirez and Antonio Ramirez Barron.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Authorities say Ramirez confessed to throwing his parents&#8217; bodies off a bridge after killing them at their home in Princeville early Friday morning of Friday, Oct. 26.<br />
Another man, Matthew J. Roberts, 20, has also been arrested.<br />
Ramirez, 21, has been charged with obstruction of justice and concealment of a homicidal death, according to <a class="class" href="https://www.pjstar.com/news/20181029/son-another-man-arrested-in-deaths-of-bradley-professor-and-husband" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">The Peoria Journal Star</a>.<br />
Sheriff Brian Asbell confirmed later Monday that Jose Ramirez made a confession and allegedly admitted to killing his parents in the early morning hours. The confession, Asbell said, was corroborated by evidence found at the scene.<br />
Police have not released a motive and it is not clear how the pair died.<br />
However, police sources are said to be gathering evidence that he had a long-standing &#8216;hatred&#8217; towards his mother and father.<br />
Susan Brill De Ramirez was an English professor at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois.<br />
Her husband, Antonio Ramirez Barren, was a technology support specialist in the university’s IT department. They were both 63 years old.<br />
The arrests were announced by Peoria County Sheriff Brian Asbell.</p>
