Collins, 29 admitted A woman has pleaded guilty after she claims she kicked him out of her house and he returned wielding a bat.
The mother-of-two pled guilty to manslaughter on Tuesday in Blount County, Alabama over the November 20, 2014 death of Clint Alan Myrick, AL.com reported.
Investigators do not believe Collins’ story of how the shooting occurred, and the possibility that others were involved remains under active investigation, a law enforcement source said.
‘Scenes get staged. Stories get told to cover the truth,’ the source said. ‘You can look at the scene and tell it was staged and it didn’t happen the way she said.’
Police say that Collins called 911 at around 1.30am to report a burglary in progress.

She fatally shot her boyfriend Clint Alan Myrick  with a shotgun in 2014. She had kicked him out of her house but he returned with a baseball bat, she said

Collins told authorities that she had kicked Myrick, who was 28, out of her home in Oneonta.

Though the two were in a relationship, they didn’t live together, Collins said.
Collins told investigators that after she kicked him out, Myrick returned to the home armed with a baseball bat.
Collins, armed with a shotgun, said she fired a warning shot and then fired a second time, hitting Myrick in the chest.
Myrick was pronounced dead at the scene at 3.37am.

Collins was sentenced to serve 15 years and six months in prison after her guilty plea.

She is reportedly the mother of two children.
Blount County District Attorney Pamela Casey said the plea deal was fully discussed with Myrick’s family.
Myrick worked in the construction industry and was a graduate of Susan Moore High School, according to his obituary.
