A Michigan teenager says she had sex with her science teacher Tyler David Millward, 30, and she’s now pregnant with his childA pregnant teenage girl from Michigan has testified that she had sex with her former high school teacher when she was just 16 and claims he’s the father of her baby.
The 17-year-old student, who has remained unnamed, initially adamantly denied having sex with 30-year-old married Athens High School teacher Tyler David Millward.
But last month she confessed that they did have sex and shared details their relationship on Tuesday.
‘He is the father of my child,’ she said during her 30-minute testimony in Calhoun County District Court on Tuesday.
Then a judge ruled the case should be sent to circuit court for trial, according to the Battle Creek Enquirer.
Millward has been charged with three counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct. If convicted he could face up to 15 years in jail.
She was his science student at Athens High School in Athens, Michigan.
His relationship with the student is believed to have lasted form July 2017 to January 2018, all while she was 16.
‘The relationship started in June [2017] when he got my phone number on the last day of school to [help] paint the house he was building,’ she said.
She was a student in Millward’s science class at Athens High.
On Tuesday the 17-year-old girl said her relationship with Millward started in June 2017 and she said they had sex several times including once in a car on Christmas Day
Soon the messages turned sexual and she had sex with Millward several times including on Christmas Day after he picked her up and they had intercourse in the car, she said.
She added twice they checked into a Battle Creek motel for their romps.
During questioning by Prosecutor David Gilbert and defense attorney Anastase Markou, the girl said she made the decision to confess to the sex on her own.
The sex “was consensual,” she said, and the affair was discovered she said she repeatedly told police that she didn’t have sex with Millward. However, she confessed about a month ago that the denials were lies and that she and Millward did have sex.

Her shocking account, coupled with the fact that she’s nearly due to give birth, are a stark contrast from her prior statements where she repeatedly told local tribal police that she didn’t have sex with Millward after he was arrested.
Asked “What has changed?” by the Markou, the teen replied, “Give me a second to civilly say what I want to say,” she said.
“I don’t think he is the person he portrays he is. I was really blinded and now I know all the stuff that happened so it is not right what I did when I recanted but I thought I was giving a good man a chance”.

‘I don’t know who he is or what he can do,’ she said.
The affair was discovered and Millward was arrested on July 13 at the student’s apartment after the Tribal Police Department began investigating claims of their improper relationship.
He was arraigned on charges of using a computer to communicate with another to commit a crime of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and three counts of lying to police for denying the relationship.
After the charge, and after being convicted for domestic violence against his ex-wife, he is now serving a 60-day sentence.
