<div>A body presumed to be that of a missing Quebec woman has been found near the Mexican hotel she was staying in just days after her boyfriend&#8217;s suicide.<br />
Christine St-Onge, 41, and a mother of two went missing in the luxury resort of Los Cabos on December 4.<br />
Sergeant Claude Denis, a spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec, who&#8217;d launched an international investigation to find the 41-year-old, said an autopsy would have to be performed to determine that the remains are those of St-Onge who&#8217;s from the Montreal suburb of Laval, according to <a class="class" href="https://montrealgazette.com/news/local-news/body-found-in-mexico-likely-that-of-christine-st-onge-surete-du-quebec-says" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">The Montreal Gazette</a>.<br />
St-Onge had left Quebec on November 29th along with her boyfriend Pierre Bergeron, 53, for a week-long trip to Los Cabos.<br />
They were due to return to Quebec on December 6 but Bergeron returned home alone the day before without luggage and carrying St-Onge’s ticket.<br />
Police said he killed himself the next day.</div>

Mexican police said it appeared that the woman, found dead near the hotel where St-Onge and Bergeron were staying, had died of severe brain injuries. It&#8217;s estimated she had been dead for at least five days.</div>

St-Onge’s family have been notified of the discovery. St-Onge, a mother of two boys aged 7 and 11, worked at a travel agency and had been seeing her Bergeron for several months.<br />
A <a class="class" href="https://www.gofundme.com/pour-la-famille-de-christine-st-onge" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">GoFundMe</a> campaign was set up to raise money for an outing to distract St-Onge&#8217;s sons, now the campaign is raising money for expenses related to St-Onge&#8217;s possible death.</div>
