Temple police received information on January 9 concerning the disappearance of Jenna Scott, 28, and 32-year-old Michael Swearingin. The duo have been missing since January 4 at 3am.<br />
That information led them to Clearview, ;Oklahoma, which is ;in between Oklahoma City and Tulsa,  ;<a class="class" href="https://www.kxan.com/news/texas/two-bodies-found-in-oklahoma-believed-to-be-those-missing-from-temple/1703526945" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">KXAN ;</a>reports. Scott and Swearingin&#8217;s car was found in Austin January 5.</p>

<div>Last summer, Scott filed a protective order against her ex-boyfriend Cedric Marks, who was said to have had a history of violence. But that was denied by a judge. Scott revealed that ;Marks told her he killed someone in Oklahoma.<br />
&#8220;He told me he had killed someone in Oklahoma, but that he was able to cover it up and that he could do the same here in Texas,&#8221; Scott&#8217;s statement says.<br />
According to her statement, Marks spent part of his childhood in Oklahoma as well.<br />
Marks ;was recently arrested for burglary in Michigan. He will be extradited to Bell County. In another development, police in Minnesota said they are looking into Mark&#8217;s<a href="http://www.kxxv.com/story/39794268/temple-missing-womans-ex-boyfriend-connected-to-another-womans-disappearance" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> ;connection to another missing woman who disappeared in 2009</a>. The woman, April Pease, had a child with Marks.</div>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">On Tuesday, the OSBI confirmed that the Temple Police Department investigators were helping with the homicide investigation<br />
&#8216;The Oklahoma State Medical Examiners Office will be responsible for making the positive identifications at autopsy,&#8217; Temple police said. &#8216;The Scott and Swearingin families have been notified of this preliminary identification.&#8217;<br />
Scott&#8217;s father shared that he had been in contact with the police on Tuesday, but that he didn&#8217;t think he could share anything from the case.</p>
