Chukwuemeka Ekwonna of Glenn Dale, Maryland pled guilty in Baltimore on Tuesday to two counts of sex trafficking of a minor
Former DC Police officer Ekwonna, 29, admitted he paid a pair of teen girls for sex
Ekwonna was a metropolitan cop when he exchanged more than 250 text messages and social media messages on the app ‘Tagged’ with two girls, ages 14 and 15, and paid both for sex
After 15-year-old victim provided services for Ekwonna in his car, he first paid her before pulling a gun on her and demanding his money back
He was arrested in April 2017, and faced charges of armed robbery, firearm use in a felony crime of violence, first-degree assault, second-degree assault
He was also charged with two counts of third-degree sex offenses , reckless endangerment, handgun in a vehicle, and handgun on a person and prostitution.
Faces a minimum of 10 years in prison and a maximum of 20 years in prison and a maximum $250,000 fine, under his plea agreement
Sentencing is scheduled for May 10
