‘Normally in situations where somebody is shot, committed suicide, you’re going to have other forensic-type evidence. For example, brain matter, hair, skin, bone,’ she said. ‘None of that was found.’
Investigators also found it incredibly strange that the gun was left tied to the boat.
‘It was almost like they wanted to make sure that the gun was discovered,’ she said.
No body was ever found which is also unusual even when they are lost at sea just off shore.

Investigators have so far been unable to track Scott down after person who claimed to be a friend of his called the lead investigator in Jackson County, Mississippi to say Scott had been spotted driving a vehicle in the county in August 2018.
Another tip them came through to Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers four months later in December 2018.
‘The tipster stated that someone matching the description of Jacob Blair Scott was seen frequenting the Golden Spike Apartments,’ Crouse said. ‘The tipster stated the suspect was seen going up to the 8th floor and on the first floor,’ she said.
Marshals visited apartment management who claimed not to recognize Scott’s photo but then a worker at the complex said that he had been smoking nearby.
The was also spotted earlier this week by a resident at the complex who called a local TV station.
‘He was in front of garbage cans smoking,’ Mano Quintana said. ‘Pretty darn sure. I’m really 100-percent positive it was him.’
