<p class="imageCaption">A body found in a Dallas lake has been identified as a mother-of-two who disappeared almost two months ago, after she filed charges for assault against her boyfriend.<br />

The remains of her partner Alfonso Hernandez, 28, were found at a different lake 16 miles away on February 17. The pair had vanished on February 5, a week after Garcia pressed charges against him for assault.<br />
Two days later a passerby discovered his body floating in the lake, but there was no trace of his partner.<br />
An arrest warrant was out for Hernandez in January for domestic violence charges against Garcia, whose twin sister, Atziry Garcia Mireles, told NBC that Hernandez had some suicide thoughts, shortly after his body was fished out of White Rock Lake on Feb 17, with her sisters phone on him.<br />

Authorities discovered his Honda Accord near White Rock Lake, northeast of Dallas, after pinging Garcia&#8217;s phone, <a class="class" href="http://www.fox4news.com/news/missing-grand-prairie-mothers-body-found-in-mountain-creek-lake" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">FOX4</a> reported.<br />
Garcia&#8217;s phone was found in Hernandez&#8217;s pocket, while his own phone was found in his car, reported <a class="class" href="https://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/Search-Resumes-at-White-Rock-Lake-for-Missing-Woman-26-505993341.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">NBCDFW</a>.<br />
Although a full autopsy has yet to confirm his cause of death, a primary inspection revealed no signs of trauma.</p>

<p>Mireles told the Dallas Morning News in February her sister had moved into their cousin&#8217;s house after a series of disputes with Hernandez.<br />
On the morning of February 5, Mireles said, Hernandez sent a goodbye message to his family and her sister, but could not be found.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Family members said Friday that Garcia and Hernandez had relationship issues and that Hernandez had sought treatment for anger management. Mireles said that he recently threatened to take his own life after a fight with Garcia.<br />
Garcia&#8217;s mother, Vania Mireles, posted on Facebook thanking people for their prayers for her daughter. She is &#8216;in a better world,&#8217; Vania wrote in Spanish.<br />
The Dallas Police Department&#8217;s Homicide Unit will investigate the death of Garcia.<br />
Mark Beseda, a Grand Prairie police spokesman, said: &#8216;Once they [Dallas Police Department] complete their investigation, we will close ours as well.&#8217;<br />
In a Facebook post on March 17, weeks before her sister&#8217;s body was found, Mireles said she doesn&#8217;t think Hernandez was responsible for her disappearance. &#8216;They were working things out,&#8217; she said.</p>
