Clare Bronfman and Lauren Salzman, both were members of NXIVM’s Executive Board, while Lauren’s mother, Nancy Salzman, was co-founder of cult. Nancy took an earlier plea deal that put her in better stead than her daughter.
Bronfman was VP in charge of Operations and Lauren Salzman VP in charge of Education. While Lauren had a higher rank was allowed to wear the emblem of authority, a Green Sash with Four gold Stripes. Clare could only wear an Orange with Three Stripes, they followed the golden rule – ‘she who has the gold rules’.
However, Clare’s enormous wealth from the Seagram’s empire, permitted her to control much of the direction of NXIVM, with Raniere at the helm.
