<p class="mol-para-with-font">Michael D&#8217;Biagio, 41, was charged with criminal homicide and aggravated assault after his deadly confrontation with Darren Jevcak outside the New Castle pizza shop where the teen worked on Friday.<br />
D&#8217;Biagio allegedly told investigators that he shot Jevcak multiple times in the arm and head because the boy &#8216;got his daughter on drugs or coke&#8217;.<br />

The father suspected that his daughter had been sneaking out of the the family&#8217;s home in Beaver Falls to buy and smoke marijuana and to do cocaine with Jevcak, according to a criminal complaint.<br />
After confronting his daughter, who was not named, D&#8217;Biagio contacted Jevcak and inquired where he was. He then drove home and retrieved a gun from his bedroom before going to the Scustie&#8217;s Pizza Shop.</p>

D&#8217;Biagio opened fire on Jevcak when he saw the teen come out the back door of the shop, striking him in the arm and causing him to fall to the ground. </span></div>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">&#8216;[The suspect] said he shot Jevcak [again] so that he could put [him] out of his misery because [he] looked to be in shock,&#8217; the criminal complaint said.<br />
A neighbor who witnessed the shooting called 911 as pizza shop owner Joseph Camerot and another employee ran outside and talked to D&#8217;Biagio.<br />
<span style="color: var(--color-text);">New Castle Police Department officers arrived on the scene and found Jevcak bleeding on the ground, unconscious and not moving.<br />
</span>He was transported to a hospital and pronounced dead, while D&#8217;Biagio was taken into police custody without incident.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">On Friday night Scustie&#8217;s received backlash after Camerot posted on the company Facebook page that the store was closed for a power outage rather than disclosing the murder.<br />
Camerot apologized on Saturday and addressed Jevcak&#8217;s death.<br />
&#8216;The Camerot family wishes to express its deepest condolences to Darren&#8217;s family,&#8217; a post on Scustie&#8217;s Facebook page said.<br />

Jevcak was a rising senior at Lincoln High School. He is described in his <a class="class" href="https://www.ellwoodcityledger.com/Ellwood/OBITUARIES/20190723/DARREN-SCOTTY-JEVCAK?fbclid=IwAR0zIOdo2jigiVskCrEY4vUaGpaGCTpfSVNDgc6oESk70-RuF0nFcfSFqSA" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">obituary </a>as a &#8216;caring and helpful person&#8217; who &#8216;enjoyed weight lifting and spending precious time with his family and many friends&#8217;.<br />
His funeral will take place on Thursday.</p>
