&#8216;We are aware of the reports regarding Patrick Chung,&#8217; read the team statement. &#8216;We will not be commenting while his judicial proceedings take place.&#8217;<br />
According to the indictment Chung &#8216;did possess or have under his control a quantity of the controlled substance cocaine&#8217; on June 25.<br />
He was not arrested at the time.</p>

The Jamaican-born Chung was a second-round pick out of Oregon, who has won three Super Bowls with the Patriots.<br />
He played for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2013, but returned to Foxborough as a free agent the following season.<br />
Chung broke his arm during the Patriots&#8217; most-recent Super Bowl victory in February and has not played during the preseason. He had been attending practices, but was absent on Tuesday, according to multiple reports.</p>
