Alabama boy, 14, admits he shot and killed his father and stepmother his three young siblings after he called 911 to report hearing gunshots

He later admitted to the brutal slayings and helped cops recover the weapon

Limestone County Sheriff’s spokesman Stephen Young said that deputies were called by the 14-year-old suspect, who initially said he was downstairs in the home’s basement when he heard gunshots on the home’s upper floor.
The victims were identified as the teen’s father John Sisk, 38, his wife and the victim’s stepmother, Mary Sisk, 35.
The teen allegedly also killed his brother, 6, sister, 5, and his 6-month-old brother whose names have not been released.

The suspect, who was not named because he is a juvenile, is currently charged with five counts of juvenile murder and is being held in a juvenile detention facility.
The horrific slayings happened at the 2,500 block of Ridge Road in Elkmont early Tuesday morning.
Deputies found one adult and two minors dead at the scene. Another adult and minor were hospitalized with critical injuries and later died.
Police confirmed that the handgun which was used was illegally held at the residence.

It’s unclear if authorities have a motive for the slayings, WAFF48 reported.
The incident happened around 10:30pm Monday night.
Around 1.15 am, Young claimed that deputies were called to the scene by the teen.
At a press conference on Tuesday afternoon he said: ‘The offender called 911 at approximately 11pm Monday evening.
‘He met deputies in the driveway and told them that he had been in the basement of the home and heard gunshots from the main level of the home upstairs.
‘At that time he said that he ran out the door and there was very little information given.
The suspect was tripped by the inconsistencies in his cover story. Sheriff’s office spokesman Stephen Young said that deputies responded to the scene at the 2,500 block of Ridge Road in Elkmont
He claimed several discrepancies were found in his statements that Sheriff Blakely and an investigator brought him here to the office to interview him.
He added: ‘Upon being confronted with some of the inconsistencies he did admit to shooting the five family members.’
Deputies claim they believe the teenager used a 9mm handgun in the shooting and disposed of it at the side of a road before calling 911.
Young claimed the tragedy was on a scale that ‘we’re not used to here in limestone county Alabama.’
He added: ‘It is important that you understand that this is a community that has a lot of healing to do right now.
‘This is going to have a ripple effect among family, among friends , among the local community in the Elkmont area and among all of our residents.’
He said the suspect could face adult charges of multiple counts of murder and possibly capital murder pending the adjudication process.
Limestone County Sheriff’s spokesman Stephen Young c;aimed that deputies were called to the scene by a juvenile in the house who says he was downstairs when he heard shooting.
He said the boy cooperated with investigators and assisted police in showing them where he dumped the weapon, authorities said.
Mary Sisk, originally from New Orleans, was a special education teacher for Huntsville City Schools, according to a biography on the website of Mountain Gap Schools.
She wrote: ‘I am happily married with a great husband and four beautiful children. I am originally from New Orleans and really miss the food! I am currently working on furthering my education with the support of my amazing family!.’
News of the shocking shootings have rocked the small town of Elkmont.
The suspect had attended Elkmont High School, which stated that counselors would be hand to help those affected by the shooting.

The shootings occurred in a small, one-story home on a large lot near a residential street.
Elkmont, a town of fewer than 500 residents just south of the Tennessee border, is about a 45-minute drive northwest of Huntsville, Alabama.
A Limestone County School District spokeswoman confirmed the boy attended Elkmont High School and said support would be made available.
