A 32-year-old Florida woman has been arrested for child neglect for keeping her 11-year-old son in a $300-a-night hotel room with her while she engaged in sex with two men. One of her male partners died in the bed while the child was nearby.
Amy Kemper and her son checked into the Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa in Palm Coast, Florida, on Saturday night.
Police say she went there to take drugs and have sex with two older men.
On Sunday morning, she called 911 in a panic to report that one of the men wasn’t breathing. He was later pronounced dead.
The man’s cause of death has not been revealed, but details of the night were disclosed by Sheriff Rick Staly who said that Kemper and her son went to the resort ‘in the middle of the night so she could engage in narcotic use and sexual activities.’

In 2015, Kemper was charged with a misdemeanor for marijuana possession and was released on the same day. In 2019, she was arrested for domestic battery
The Sheriff’s office confirmed that Kemper’s son was in the room the entire time.
According to an arrest report from the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, Kemper said she thought the dead male was sleeping and reportedly heard him ‘snoring unusually’.
She decided to then leave the property with the other man, abandoning her son in the room for hours until she came back to find the 60-year-old man deceased and her child in the same spot she left him.
Kemper was charged with Child Neglect Without Great Bodily Harm and taken to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility. She is being held on a $15,000 bond.
Her son was taken by The Florida Department of Children and Families while his mom was taken away.

Amy Kemper booked a $300-a-night room at the Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa for her, her 11-year-old son and two unidentified men with whom she engaged in sexual activities with her child in the room
The two men involved have not been identified and it is unclear who the father of the boy is. It is also unclear as to why her child was in the room with her at the time of the incident.
Kemper who lived in Illinois before she moved to Florida in 2007, according to her Facebook profile, worked as a nail tech and artist at NailBar103 in Palm Coast.

Sheriff Staly in the department’s Facebook page said: ‘A woman [Kemper], thought it was okay to bring her child to a resort in the middle of the night so she could engage in narcotic use and sexual activities’
In 2019, she was charged with another misdemeanor, this time for domestic battery, and was released the following day.
Her newest charge of child neglect is her first felony and she is awaiting trial.
Sheriff Staly shared his ‘Weekend Roundup’ on the department’s Facebook page and said: ‘Deputies were busy this past weekend.’
