<div>A teenager who called 911 on Monday night claiming he heard gunshots at his parent&#8217;s Alabama home, has admitted to killing five members of his family, police say.<br />
Limestone County Sheriff&#8217;s spokesman Stephen Young said that deputies were called by the 14-year-old suspect, who initially said he was downstairs in the home&#8217;s basement when he heard gunshots on the home&#8217;s upper floor.<br />
The victims were identified as the teen&#8217;s father John Sisk, 38, his wife and the victim&#8217;s stepmother, Mary Sisk, 35.<br />
The teen allegedly also killed his brother, 6, sister, 5, and his 6-month-old brother whose names have not been released.</div>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">The suspect, who was not named because he is a juvenile, is currently charged with five counts of juvenile murder and is being held in a juvenile detention facility.<br />
The horrific slayings happened at the 2,500 block of Ridge Road in Elkmont early Tuesday morning.<br />
Deputies found one adult and two minors dead at the scene. Another adult and minor were hospitalized with critical injuries and later died.<br />
Police confirmed that the handgun which was used was illegally held at the residence.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">It&#8217;s unclear if authorities have a motive for the slayings, <a class="class" href="https://www.waff.com/2019/09/03/people-shot-killed-limestone-county/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">WAFF48</a> reported.<br />
The incident happened around 10:30pm Monday night.<br />
Around 1.15 am, Young claimed that deputies were called to the scene by the teen.<br />
At a press conference on Tuesday afternoon he said: &#8216;The offender called 911 at approximately 11pm Monday evening.<br />
&#8216;He met deputies in the driveway and told them that he had been in the basement of the home and heard gunshots from the main level of the home upstairs.<br />
&#8216;At that time he said that he ran out the door and there was very little information given.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">He claimed several discrepancies were found in his statements that Sheriff Blakely and an investigator brought him here to the office to interview him.<br />
He added: &#8216;Upon being confronted with some of the inconsistencies he did admit to shooting the five family members.&#8217;<br />
Deputies claim they believe the teenager used a 9mm handgun in the shooting and disposed of it at the side of a road before calling 911.<br />
Young claimed the tragedy was on a scale that &#8216;we’re not used to here in limestone county Alabama.&#8217;<br />
He added: &#8216;It is important that you understand that this is a community that has a lot of healing to do right now.<br />
&#8216;This is going to have a ripple effect among family, among friends , among the local community in the Elkmont area and among all of our residents.&#8217;<br />
He said the suspect could face adult charges of multiple counts of murder and possibly capital murder pending the adjudication process.</p>

Mary Sisk, originally from New Orleans, was a special education teacher for Huntsville City Schools, according to a <a class="class" href="https://www.huntsvillecityschools.org/schools/mountain-gap-schools/mary-sisk" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">biography</a> on the website of Mountain Gap Schools.<br />

News of the shocking shootings have rocked the small town of Elkmont.<br />
The suspect had attended Elkmont High School, which stated that counselors would be hand to help those affected by the shooting.</p>
