A brazen case of daylight drive-by shooting in Chicago on Tuesday claimed the life of rapper FBG Duck near the city’s famed Magnificent Mile.
The shooting occurred at about 4.37pm on Tuesday on East Oak Street in the Gold Coast neighborhood, where Carlton D. Weekly, also known by his stage name FBG Duck and two friends were shopping in the area’s upscale boutiques.
Police reports say that two cars pulled up, and four individuals got out and opened fire, striking the three victims, before fleeing the scene.
FBG Duck, 26, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. He was identified as the deceased victim by police radio traffic and family members on social media.
Two of his companions were also injured in the shooting.

Chicago police spokesperson Tom Ahern on Wednesday confirmed that the attack on Weekly who performed under the name FBG Duck was a planned attack in which either Weekly or one of his companions was “targeted.”
Injured in the attack were a 36-year-old man who was standing with Weekly and a 28-year-old woman who was sitting in a parked car.Shocking video from the scene appears to show Weekly and the other members of his entourage following the shooting, with two men seen sprawled in the street with injuries.
