Honduran man, 29, invited to spend holidays with two sisters who are his second cousins, murdered one of the sisters after she spurned his advances at a Christmas party

The suspect Identified only as Gabriel N. allegedly, confessed that he had strangled his 25-year-old cousin, Eny Aguilar, with his bare hands

He then stabbed her repeatedly with a kitchen knife in the basement of the house while the rest of the family were upstairs

The suspect admitted to police that after the victim turned down his advances, he decided he would to kill her and her close family so he could ‘move on’ from the rejection

Victim was living as an exchange student with her sister and her family in Leonding, while the alleged killer had been invited to visit them for Christmas and New Year

After the murder, Gabrielle next lured the victim’s sister to the basement and tred to murder her, as well

She was saved by her husband who heard noise and went downstairs to check out the commotion

Now in custody, the suspect is charged with murder and attempted murder

The Victim: Eny Aguilar, 25, was living as an exchange student with her sister in Leonding, Austria when she was killed over the Christmas holidays by a second cousin invited over to spend the holiday season

A man who had a crush on his distant cousin is accused of murdering her and her entire family after she rejected his advances at a Christmas gathering in the Austrian Alps.
The victim, Eny Aguilar, was living as an exchange student with her sister, who lived with her husband and daughter in the Austrian village of Leonding. 
The two sisters are second cousins of the alleged killer. The family are all originally from Honduras.

Identified only by his first name Gabrielle N. due to local privacy laws, the alleged killer had been invited over to visit them for the Christmas and New Year break and had fallen for his 25-year-old second cousin, Eny Aguilar, almost as soon as he arrived.
She told him that she already had a boyfriend and was not interested in starting a new relationship.
After the rejection, he reportedly told police that he wanted to ‘move on’, and that the only way to do that was to eradicate all traces of her and her family.

The suspect allegedly, told police that he had strangled Aguilar with his bare hands.
He then stabbed her repeatedly with a kitchen knife in the basement of the house while the rest of the family enjoyed the holiday season break upstairs earlier this week, Gabrielle N. said.

After the rejection the alleged killer told police that he wanted to ‘move on’, and that the only way to do that was to eradicate all traces of his victim and her family

The victim’s sister, as well as their eight-year-old daughter Lilli and her husband, were not aware of what happened in the basement, and his next victim was  allegedly supposed to be the dead woman’s sister.
When he lured her into the basement, he allegedly hit her over the head and then tried to strangle her but her husband heard the commotion and went downstairs where he managed to push the attacker away. 
His daughter, seeing the two men fighting, had rushed next door and raised the alarm with the husband’s father, 78, and together they managed to overpower him and tie him up with cable ties.
He is now in custody on charges of murder and attempted murder.
