<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A mother authorities said, knocked out her ex by lacing his oatmeal with Fentanyl, then enlisted the aid of her daughter and the boyfriend to strangle the victim in a rage fueled murder plot.<br>Heidi Marie Littlefield, 41, her daughter, Logan Marie Runyon, 22, and Runyon&#8217;s 29-year-old boyfriend, Robert James Walker, were arrested last week in the January murder of Francis Kelley. <br>The Indiana woman allegedly enlisted her daughter and her daughter&#8217;s boyfriend to help her murder her ex with fentanyl-laced oatmeal and strangle him with his favorite tie following a custody dispute.<br>Kelly, 46, was found dead on a couch inside his Carmel home, just outside Indianapolis, two months ago. <br>An autopsy later found Kelley had been strangled to death, had suffered blunt force trauma to his head and had traces of fentanyl in his system, the <a rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.indystar.com/story/news/crime/2021/03/26/fran-kelley-death-drugged-oatmeal-carmel-police-investigationn/7012682002/">Indy Star</a> reports. <br>Kelley&#8217;s body was discovered in his home after another ex-girlfriend told police she had not heard from him; he was supposed to pick up their 9-year-old daughter for his birthday Jan. 17. An investigation was launched after his death was ruled a homicide. <br>Court records sate that Littlesfield had long been planning the murder &#8211; Police say the investigation uncovered a series of allegations, including that Littlefield once paid her daughter&#8217;s boyfriend $2,500 to hire someone to carry out the murder and she twice previously had tried to to kill Francis Kelly. <br>Littlefield and her daughter are accused of eventually killing Kelley and are charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder. <br>Walker, who was charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit murder, told police that Littlefield had given him $2,500 last year to kill Kelley but he ended up using it to buy drugs. <br>Authorities have alleged that Littlefield had been planning the murder for sometime following a custody dispute over their two-year-old child. <br></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><br>Investigators say Littlefield had previously tried to kill Kelley last year by sneaking into his house and lacing his soup with fentanyl. A text message exchange between Littlefield and the victim in January this year showed that she was inside his home the days before he died. <br>Littlefield was identified as a suspect in the case after her relative told investigators she had made &#8220;past statements saying she wanted [Kelley] dead&#8221;.<br>Accusing Kelley of domestic abusive she allegedly claimed that “she would be failing her daughter if the dude didn’t end up dead”.<br>The family member quotes Littlefield saying &#8220;He&#8217;s better off dead,&#8221; after Kelley&#8217;s body was discovered.<br>&#8220;I didn&#8217;t mean to kill him last time. I might as well say I did it and just say I’m crazy and pregnant,” she reportedly said.<br>Police allege that video recordings of conversations the suspect and another an ex-boyfriend capture her talking about &#8220;planning to plant drugs on Fran and how she wants Fran dead,&#8221; police say.<br>Walker, who was arrested Tuesday in Ohio, admitted to detectives Littlefield &#8220;paid him $2,500 to hire someone to kill Fran.&#8221;<br>I &#8220;took the money but spent it on drugs and had no intention of doing what Heidi asked,&#8221; He said.<br>That was the &#8220;third attempt by Heidi to kill Fran&#8221; Walker said. Littlefield in October had snuck into ex&#8217;s home with their daughter and put fentanyl in Kelley’s miso soup.<br>Logan Runyon stayed in the car during that attempt, Walker said, and Littlefield had later returned to the group&#8217;s hotel and stated: &#8220;It&#8217;s done.&#8221;<br>Walker claims In January Runyon told him she snuck into Kelley&#8217;s house with her mother, after he had eaten the fentanyl-laced oatmeal to finish the killing, adding that: &#8220;Heidi tried to get Logan to &#8216;snap his neck,&#8217; but Logan couldn’t do it, so Heidi then tied &#8216;his favorite&#8217; tie around his neck and began smashing his head into the ground,&#8221; the affidavit says.<br>Mother and daughter had a troubled relationship. Littlefiield, court records indicate, planned to set up Runyon to take the fall for the killing.<br>An initial hearing in the case is scheduled for Friday.</p>
