Medical doctor, Abass Adio Adebowale Adeyemi, was arrested for killing a cab driver,  Emmanuel Yobo Agbovinuere on Sept 3

He allegedly killed the victim with a lethal injection in Benin City, Edo state, dumped his corpse on the Benin-Lagos highway and stole the victim’s car

Police on Sunday said the suspect also confessed to killing his girlfriend, one Ifeoluwa, who was declared missing in Tanke area of Ilorin in 2021

Her body has been recovered in the woods in the Ilorin area  

The suspect is the Chief Medical Director of Kaiama General Hospital, detectives executing a search discovered two more remains in the doctor’s office at the hospital

Freshly grouted area of floor tiles in his office arousing suspicion were broken and the remains of an unidentified woman were found buried in the shallow grave

Further search of the office led to the opening of a trash can where another female remains later identified as Nofisat Halidu, a local resident who vanished in November 2021

Cops also recovered two ladies bags from the doctor’s office, two cell phones was found in one of the ladies purses that had been stashed in the doctor’s drawers

Other items include a woman’s wig, a veil and a pair of female panties

A young physician has been has been arrested and charged with several murders spanning over a tw0-yearr period for multiple-homicide.
Abass Adio Adebowale Adeyemi, 36, who has practice in Offa County of Kwara State, one the states in the north central part of Nigeria was arrested for by police in Osun State in the south west of the country
Adeyemi who is facing murder and armed robbery charges was tripped up after allegedly killing a cab driver,  Emmanuel Yobo Agbovinuere.
The doctor turned serial killer, allegedly killed hired the taxi driver for a long trip from Kwara to Benin City, Edo state, killed the victim by lethal injection on September 3, before dumping the corpse on the Benin-Lagos highway.
He then made his getaway with the victim’s white Toyota cab. 
Spokesperson of the Kwara Police Command, Superintendent Okasanmi Ajayi, in a statement on Sunday, said the suspect also confessed to killing his girlfriend, one Ifeoluwa, who was declared missing in Tanke area of Ilorin in 2021. Her remains has been recovered where he dumped it in the woods in the Alapa area of state capital, Ilorin.
According to the police the latest gruesome discovery was made after the new State police chief, Commissioner of Police Paul Odama, ordered a high-powered investigation into the case of a missing woman identified as Nofisat Halidu.
Detectives who were suspicious of some freshly grouted area of the floor tiles in Adeyemi’s office broke the tiles, only to discover the decomposing remains of a yet to be unidentified woman were found buried in the shallow grave. 
Further search of the office led to the opening of a trash can where another female corpse. This remains was later determined to belong to a local resident, Nofisat Halidu, who vanished last year November,

Nofisat Halidu was declared missing on November 11, 2021. Her identity has been confirmed by her husband and other members of the community who were present at the scene at the time of the search. 
Police said they also two ladies bags were recovered from the doctor’s office.
Other items include a woman’s wig, a veil and a pair of female panties. Two cell phones was found in one of the ladies purses stashed in the doctor’s drawers.
