Man, 28, slaughters ex-girlfriend, 21, her brother, 18, mother, 48, and friend, 23, before turning the gun on himself in $750k Maryland home: Their two children are left orphaned after the bloody rampage

A Maryland man allegedly killed his ex-girlfriend, two of her family members and another man inside the family’s home 

Andre Sales, 28, who lived at a different residence, then shot himself with a gun that was later recovered, according to the sheriff’s office 

The victims are 21-year-old Sara Mann; her brother, Kai Mann, 18; their mother, Sommaly, 48; and a family friend, Jovon Watson, 23 

The five deceased individuals were found inside the La Plata residence Friday afternoon by Darin Mann, Sommaly’s ex-husband

Two young children – Sales’ kids with Sara Mann, 2-year-old Gaylin and Wesley, not yet one – were initially unaccounted for but found safe 

A 28-year-old Maryland man allegedly killed his ex-girlfriend, two of her family members and another man inside the family’s home before fatally shooting himself, authorities said Saturday.
The suspect Andre Sales, is accused of entering the family’ home in La Plata, in Charles County and killing 21-year-old Sara Mann, her brother Kai Mann, 18 and their mother Sommaly Mann, 48.
A male family friend, Jovon Watson, 23, of White Plains was also found dead in the home.
Sales, who lived at a different residence, then shot himself. The gun was later recovered, according to the sheriff’s office. 

The five deceased individuals were found inside the La Plata residence Friday afternoon by Darin Mann, Sommaly’s ex-husband, after he came back from work.
The shooter Jonathan Sales shares two young children with Sara Mann – infant Wesley and 2-year-old Gaylin. Both were initially unaccounted for but located a short time later unharmed at a different location, the sheriff’s office said. 

The Charles County Sheriff’s Office originally said the victims were all shot but later said some had been stabbed. 
Sales had a record that included a domestic violence charge in April 2021, but the charges were dismissed when the petitioner failed to appear, according to WTOP. Court records show an unidentified person had gotten a restraining order against Sales in April 2021.  
The family patriarch Darin Mann, who worked in home improvement arrived home on Friday to discover five people dead in a violent rampage, including his ex-wife and adult son and daughter. The shooter’s body was also inside his home.

A GoFundMe crowd funding drive has been started: ‘In their loving memories and will help the family to pay for the funeral costs for Sunny, Sarah, and Kai. Any remaining funds, if any, will go toward the education and related costs for the two beautiful young children.’ It has raised $6,697 of the $200,000 goal.
Neighbors had left several bouquets of flowers on the front step of the home, where the family had lived for almost five years, according to the Washington Post.
Several residents of the quiet suburban Maryland neighborhood that features several two-story brick-and-siding homes told 7News that police have been called to the home several times. Neighbors also report witnessing physical arguments between the homeowner’s daughter Sara and her estranged boyfriend, Sales.
There have also allegedly been fights between Sara’s father, Darin Mann and the boyfriend
Investigators and forensic personnel were still processing evidence Saturday and interviewing family and friends to establish a motive, the news release said. 
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore will perform autopsies to confirm the cause of death for each person. . The sheriff’s office initially said all five victims had been shot but later clarified that some had suffered stab wounds.
