<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The ex-husband and in-laws of a Hong Kong model and influencer appeared in court Monday charged with her gruesome murder. <br>Socialite Abby Choi Tin-fung, known in the modelling world as Abby Choi, had been missing for several days when police found her dismembered body, including her legs in a refrigerator, at the apartment in village of Tai-Po, a suburban part of Hong Kong about a 30-minute drive from the border with mainland China<br>Abby Choi was killed and dismembered, with her legs found in a refrigerator while her skull and a number of her ribs were discovered in a cooking pot.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Choi Tin-fun&#8217;s ex-husband Alex Kwong, 28, his brother Anthony Kwong, 31, along with their parents Shui-heong Lee, also known as Jenny Li, 63 and Kau Kwong, 65, were all arrested on Saturday and held without bail.<br>The three men were charged with the murder, while Choi&#8217;s former mother-in-law faces one count of perverting the course of justice.<br>Images recorded on Sunday evening showed one of the male suspects being led to court by police with a black bag over his head. The four were placed in custody without bail.A fifth woman was taken into custody Monday, but her alleged role in the macabre murder has not been revealed.<br>A fifth suspect, a 47-year-old woman, was taken into custody Monday, but her name and alleged role in the murder has not been revealed.<br>The court hearing has been adjourned until May 8.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">28-year-old Abby Choi was a model and influencer who shared her glamorous life of photoshoots and fashion shows with more than 100,000 followers on Instagram. <br>She had just attended a Dior show at Paris Fashion Week, and posted an image of herself dressed in a tulle floor-length gown,.<br>Her last post was more than a week ago, featuring images from a recent photoshoot with a fashion publication, L&#8217;Officiel Monaco.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Choi had financial disputes involving tens of millions of Hong Kong dollars with her ex-husband and his family, police said earlier, adding that &#8216;some people&#8217; were unhappy with how she handled her financial assets.<br>Her friend, Bernard Cheng, said Abby Choi has four children: two sons aged ten and three and two daughters ages eight and six. The elder two were with Kwong, 28, and the younger children were with her current husband, Chris Tam. <br>Choi&#8217;s current father-in-law is a founder of one of the city&#8217;s famous noodle chains, local newspaper, The Standard reported.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The victim&#8217;s current husband Chris Tam said he was very thankful to have had Choi in his life and praised her for being supportive, another friend, Pao Jo-yee, said in a Facebook post.<br>&#8216;When Abby was alive, she&#8217;s a very kind person and always wanted to help people,&#8217; he was quoted in the post. &#8216;I feel anyone who could be her family and friends are blessed.&#8217;<br>According to Bernard Cheng&#8217;s wife, Pao, who has known the victim for over seven years, Choi treated people around her well., &#8216;She is that type of person that wouldn&#8217;t have enemies,&#8217; Pao said.<br>Cheng added Abby Choi had very good relationships with former in-laws as well as well as her husband&#8217;s family members. It was not unknown for her to travel with the families of her current and former husbands together. </p>

Officials believe that a hole on the right rear of the recovered skull is where the victim was struck by her killers.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Following an extensive search, Choi&#8217;s ex-husband partner, 31-year-ols Alex Kwong, was arrested on suspicion of murder on Saturday.<br>He was found on Tung Chung pier on Lantau Island, preparing to board a speedboat. <br>The suspect had $63, 731 [HK$500,000] in cash and several luxury watches worth $510,000 [HK$4 million] (£400,000) in total with him when he was arrested, sources claim. <br>On Saturday, Superintendent Alan Chung said the dismemberment was carried out by &#8216;cold-blooded killers&#8217;. <br>&#8216;Police also have found that the [apartment] was arranged by cold-blooded killers meticulously,&#8217; he said. &#8216;Tools that are used to dismember human bodies were found in the apartment, including meat grinders, chainsaws, long raincoats, gloves, and masks.&#8217;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Police say the model’s hands and torso are still missing, but her legs were found in a refrigerator. More than 100 elite divers have been dispatched to an area where two of the suspects were seen on Wednesday.<br>Meanwhile over 100 police officers wearing protective gear continued the grim task of combing through a Hong Kong landfill as they continue their search for missing body parts of dismembered socialite, Abby Choi Tin-fung.<br>The massive operation was ordered after a review of security camera footage near the crime scene in a Tai Po village.<br>The video captured the movements a day after the 28-year-old model was reported missing allegedly showed a suspect moving bags from the apartment where parts of her body were found to a nearby refuse sorting facility.</p>
