An American-Chinese socialite has reportedly died in Hong Kong after plunging from her penthouse naked while carrying her five-month-old daughter in her arms.
The socialite identified as Luo Lili, who ‘jumped to her death in Hong Kong holding her baby daughter’ had a boyfriend ‘who was not ready to marry her after she fell pregnant’, her friend revealed.
Luo, 34, who had rubbed shoulders with the likes of Hillary Clinton and Rita Ora, reportedly jumped to her death with her baby after suffering post-natal depression, according to multiple reports from local media.
A friend has disclosed Luo’s emotional struggle leading to her death.
Confirming the tragedy, the close source told local media that when she found out she was pregnant Luo had hoped to get married to her partner to formalise their relationship, but he had not agreed at the time.

As the only daughter of a real estate tycoon mother who owns multiple luxury development projects in China, Luo appeared to have lived a lavish life, studying and travelling around the world from a young age.
On Wednesday, the Hong Kong police found the bodies of a 34-year-old woman and her five-month-old daughter at the bottom of an apartment block, according to an official statement.

No notes were found at the scene, said the police, who are still investigating the incident and determining the cause of death.
The authorities did not identify the deceased. However, local news outlet, including HK01 and Ming Pao, have named them as the American-Chinese business woman Luo Lili and her young daughter. 

Luo was believed to have taken her life after suffering post-natal depression, reported Hong Kong newspaper Ming Pao.
The deceased was the only daughter of Luo Lin, the chairman of Chengdu real estate company Jinlin Real Estate, and her five monthold daughter Aier, lived in a 5,000-square-foot duplex unit on the top floor of Block 3, Jun Yifeng.
It is reported that the 34-year-old single mom was being treated for postpartum depression.
Around 4 pm Wednesday, a security guard of the complex investigating a thump found the two bodies lying on the platform. The adult female reportedly, was naked and had no identifying documents on her body.
Responding police officers confirmed the identity of the victims and location of the fall and intially classified the case as murder.
The deceased woman appeared to have enjoyed an extravagant life on the international circut, as she was frequently photographed in the company of influential figures around the world including former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and English pop superstar Rita Ora.
In a recent Instagram post, Luo shared a photo with her daughter, Aier, while celebrating her baby girl’s 100-day birthday.
The mother wrote: ‘She is God’s way to give me perspective on life. Thank you for showing up in my life my beloved daughter.’

Born in Chengdu, Luo moved to Hong Kong at the age of four before studying in Australia and the United States. She was said to be a fluent English speaker and have worked as a translator for her mother before founding her own company in 2014.
In an earlier interview, Luo Lili revealed that she came to Hong Kong from Chengdu at the age of 4. She later studied in Australia and the United States before joining her mother’s business. She started a business at the age of 28, opening a Public Relations firm in Mainland China. She also opened a business startup platform “Bi Longjia” in South Korea.
She also revealed that her mother built a business empire from scratch, and her father was a family of six generations of traditional Chinese medicine. “The first two generations were the emperor’s doctors.”
However, her parents divorced early and she adopted her mother’s surname Luo.
Luo Lili reportedly, was involved in two lawsuits in 2020, including allegedly defrauding a man of 3.76 million yuan when exchanging renminbi for a person, and was accused of obtaining property by deception.
Luo and her mother Luo Lin,  were very close. At that time of her death, she was a director of Jinlin Real Estate, her mother’s real estate empire.
