A biker gang member who couldn’t keep his macabre secret buried forever, ultimately faced justice.
c, a member of an outlaw Warlocks Motorcycle Club, accused of killing an associate member and leaving his body in a crypt at a Philadelphia cemetery has been convicted of murder and other charges.
DiMauro, 51, who represented himself at trial, will be sentenced to life without possibility of parole later this month, District Attorney Larry Krasner said in a statement, following his conviction on all charges, including first-degree murder, conspiracy and abuse of corpse.
The jury returned the verdict after a short jury deliberation.
DiMauro and Rossillo met at the Mount Moriah Cemetery in southwest Philadelphia after a member of the graveyard’s nonprofit board let them in, the DA’s office said. There, DiMauro shot the Warlock recruit four times in December 2017.
Prosecutors said, DiMauro then tied a rope around the victim’s neck, dragged him across the property with a car, and left him in an underground crypt.
Rossillo Jr. was missing for nearly three years before his body was found in April 2020, as authorities searched for Keith Palumbo, another Warlocks motorcycle associate who had disappeared.Â

Michael DiMauro shot and killed David Rossillo in 2017 and then hid his body inside a cemetery crypt, but could no longer keep the secret after investigators searching for another missing biker found both bodies
Palumbo, who went missing Feb. 6, 2020, was believed to have been shot inside a building the Paschall section of Southwest Philadelphia that belonged to Warlocks MC. There was “blood inside that residence” on the first floor, investigators said.
Investigators found Palumbo’s remains in the crypt two months later, in May 2020. The body of Rossillo Jr. was also found in the crypt.
Authorities said, and it’s still not clear why either man was killed, but two cooperating witnesses implicated DiMauro in the murder.Â
‘We are committed to bringing justice in cold cases like this,’ said Krasner in a statement.Â
The jury returned their verdict after within hours of beginning deliberation.Â
‘I believe that these convictions should send a message to any persons who think they can murder others and hide the evidence of their heinous crimes: We will solve these cases and we will bring you to justice,’ Krasner added.Â

On April 3, 2020, Rossillo Jr’s remains were found alongside Keith Palumbo, a musician and tattoo artist who had known his biker club killer from childhood who went missing two months before the gruesome discovery.Â
DNA taken from their remains led to their identification by investigators in August of that same year. DiMauro was arrested just a month later. Â
Ex-con Michael DeLuca, 41, an alleged member of Warlocks MC, was arrested in 2021 and pled guilty to third degree murder in the death of Keith Palumbo.
Three other co-conspirators, Donna Morelli, 51, Buck Evans, 49, and Billy Gibson, 50, previously pled guilty to their roles in helping dispose of the bodies of the slain men.Â

In April, investigators going through the mostly abandoned Mount Moriah Cemetery in southwest Philadelphia, found this crypt’s top marble slab slightly ajar, with fresh with fresh scratches at the base where someone had pried it open. The vault housed the remains of Capt. A.H. Cain and his family, from the 1800s

Investigators found Rosillo’s body and the remains of another man in the crypt at Mount Moriah Cemetery on April 3, 2020.
Buck Evans, who has a lengthy criminal history, was convicted for helping cover up the murder of Palumbo, while Gibson and Morelli were convicted on charges of abusing of corpse for allegedly helping dispose of Palumbo’s body.Â
According to police, Palumbo was fatally shot in the face inside a Philadelphia building owned by the notorious Warlocks Motorcycle Club back in February, as Philadelphia Inquirer first reported.Â
His body was discovered two months later inside a crypt at the shuttered Mount Moriah Cemetery, along with that of an unidentified badly decomposing male corpse.

The body of Rossillo Jr. was also found in the crypt, authorities said, and it’s still not clear why either man was killed

Following his arrest, Evans was questioned by police and allegedly told them that DeLuca had Keith shot Palumbo, in the face in his presence.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Evans said he was standing so close to Palumbo that he was splattered with his blood.
Palumbo, a 36-year-old musician and tattoo artist from Delaware County, knew DeLuca from childhood hung out with them, but had no interest in joining the biker gang, according to the version by his relatives.

After the bodies were found Donna Morelli sought to warn Michael DiMauro that police had found David Rossillo Jr.’s body. She gave him a note telling him “run now”

The document makes no mention of a possible motive behind the killing.
DeLuca then allegedly went to Morelli’s home, told her he had killed Palumbo and asked for her help getting rid of his body.
After the three other co-conspirators, Donna Morelli, 51, of Philadelphia, and Buck Evans, 49, and Billy Gibson, 50, both of Upper Darby, pled guilty to their roles in helping dispose of the bodies, Gibson and Evans were sentenced to two years of probation. Morelli was sentenced to up to two years in prison.
Police said members of the vicious biker gang referred to themselves as themselves “one-percenters,” or the 1% of the population that doesn’t follow the rules.
The two murder victims, Rossillo and Palumbo, were prospective club members, working toward full status, Wainwright said. Their killers, and those who helped dispose of their bodies, were full-fledged members.
Morelli, who was a member of Mount Moriah Cemetery’s board of directors, was previously married to the former president of the Warlocks, and acted as a de facto leader after he died in 2015, DA Larry Krasner said.

DNA taken from their remains led to Palumbo and Rossillo Jr.’s identification by investigators in August of that same year. ‘We are committed to bringing justice in cold cases like this,’ said District Attorney Larry Krasner in a statement
Morelli allegedly told police she and the other suspects threw the victim’s body into the crypt, and then she burned Evans’ bloodstained clothes.
When Palumbo’s body was discovered on April 3, a second corpse was found in the same crypt, later revealed to be Rossillo Jr’s.
According to an obituary, Rossillo Jr. ‘had dreams and aspirations to become a personal trainer. He enjoyed healthy eating and taking care of his body,’ as well as enjoying time with family and friends.Â
DiMauro will be sentenced to life in prison with no possibility of parole later this month, the DA’s office said.
