    An Alabama deputy killed his colleague-girlfriend before shooting himself when the the couple’s 2.45 AM argument during their beach getaway escalated.
    Dep. Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Booth Jr and his girlfriend Alexis ‘Lexi’ White, 23, were on a trip to Orange Beach when the Cullman County Deputy shot his girlfriend multiple times and then took his own life on Thursday.
    The incident that took place in a common area at the Seaside Beach and Racquet Club has been described by authorities to be an apparent ‘murder-suicide’. 
    According to a Facebook post issued by the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office, the pair who were romantically involved were in the middle of a row that escalated to the point where Booth drew a weapon and killed White before turning the gun on himself.

    The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office is ‘devastated’ and shaken to its ‘very core’ after learning about the deaths of two of their employees, their post said.
    Booth’s mother Adrean Miller Booth also posted a reference to the tragedy on Facebook.
    Making no mention of the woman her son had just killed, she crafted a tribute to her dead son saying Booth was ‘welcomed into heaven’. 
    She said her heart is ‘forever broken’ by the death of her son, adding ‘Please know there are a LOT of false and untrue statements being said and the truth will come out.’
    ‘I will release a statement at a later time when it is appropriate but today is not that day.’

    To be expected, Facebook users left comments in support of White on Adrean Miller Booth’s post.
    One user said: ‘Heaven? You truly must be delusional #JusticeforAlexisWhite’ 
    Another commented: ‘Gurrlll. what about the mom that had her daughter killed’
    Ashley Nichole left a comment that asked ‘nothing about the young lady he killed?’ after Booth’s mother didn’t mention her son’s deceased girlfriend in the tribute post.

    The police department released a statement about White’s death as she was a beloved member of the Cullman County Sheriff Office where she had worked since she was 16 

    White had worked at the office since she was 16 and was adored by the community. 
    Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry said: ‘There are not enough words to express what she and her family mean to me. I am literally heartbroken. I feel like Lexi is one of my own kids.’
    Gentry said: ‘She was a charter member in our Youth Leadership Academy, and was involved in every one after that – either as a participant, or coach,’
    White got a degree in criminal justice at Wallace State Community College before she began working as a dispatcher at Cullman County Sheriff’s Office. 
    White’s friend Hope Cochran was ‘lost for words’ when she discovered that the 23-year-old had been shot multiple times and killed.

    The ‘murder-suicide’ took place at the Seaside Beach and Racquet Club in Orange Beach, Alabama, where the couple were staying on their beach trip. The shooting happened at 2.45 AM in a common area at the holiday destination

    She said: ‘I’m so grateful I had the privilege to play softball with Lexi growing up. It never seems right when a life is taken too young,’. Cochran posted online asking all to pray for White’s family.   
    The news of the beloved dispatcher’s death is even more tragic for her family because her brother Tarrant Jordan White died just three years earlier at the age of 25.
    Her funeral is set to be on Tuesday September 12 in Cullman, Alabama.
