<p>Two siblings, both illegal immigrants have been arrested and charged with kidnapping a mother and her infant daughter in Garner, North Carolina on Monday. The brother and sister along with a third person still at large abducted the victims after the family refused to pay up $1 million.<br>Paola Duran Duran, 25, her brother Miguel Angel Duran Duran, 23, and 37-year-old <a href="https://www.fbi.gov/wanted/law-enforcement-assistance/eleodoro-leo-estrada-hernandez" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Eleodoro &#8216;Leo&#8217; Estrada-Hernandez,</a> authorities in Raleigh said, barged into a home and took the pair at gunpoint on April 28, 2025, before freeing them. <br>The trio, masked and armed with guns broke into the family&#8217;s home in Garner, demanding $1 million. When the husband refused, the home invaders grabbed his 11-month-old daughter and wife then fled in a black sedan, after restraining him with duct tape, according to police.<br>Mother and child later turned up at a stranger’s door at 7 am on Tuesday morning, seeking help. Apparently, both abductees were released unharmed by the suspects without a ransom being paid.</p>

<p>“The Garner Police Department is thankful these victims were recovered “safely” the police said in a statement. <br>We appreciate the support of our community as we work tirelessly to arrest the suspects responsible and uncover the motive behind this crime.”<br>The siblings, 25-year-old Paola Duran Duran and Miguel Angel Duran Duran, 23, both of Raleigh, were arrested Wednesday both are charged with two counts of first-degree kidnapping and a count of second-degree kidnapping. <br>The third suspect, Estrada-Hernandez, remains at large. There is a reward of $10,000 for information leading to his capture. <br>The Duran Duran siblings who are in custody both entered the United States illegally and were facing ICE holds, according to <a href="https://www.cbs17.com/news/local-news/wake-county-news/woman-man-arrested-in-armed-kidnapping-of-garner-mom-baby-duo-demanded-1-million-from-dad-police-say/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">local reports</a>. Leo Estrada-Hernandez was born in Mexico but his immigration status remains unclear. </p>

<p>The abduction began with a home invasion on Monday night when the masked trio armed with guns allegedly forced their way into the home of Eliuth Alejandro Martinez, demanding money, according to police.<br>Police said that the victims claimed to investigators that the kidnappers wanted $1 million, but Martinez refused to pay. <br>The kidnappers then allegedly wrapped him with duct tape and fled with his wife, Alondra Michelle Benitez De Jesus, 26, and the couple’s 11-month-old daughter, Grecia Salome Alejandro-Benitez, in a black Nissan Altima.</p>

<p>“Investigators quickly uncovered evidence and began to follow multiple leads to locate the victims,” according to a press release from the Garner County Police Department.<br>The kidnappers let the mother and daughter go and the two ran to a woman’s home, frantically knocking on her door early Tuesday morning looking for help. After the homeowner called 911, officers arrived to collect the pair. <br>The Duran Duran siblings were tracked down less than 24 hours after the abduction and arrested during a joint operation by local police, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and the FBI. <br>The pair in custody have been charged with multiple counts of kidnapping. They were denied bond at the first appearance in Wake County Court Wednesday.<br>Estrada-Hernandez, is charged with two counts of First Degree Kidnapping, one count of Second Degree Kidnapping, one count of Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and two counts of Assault by Pointing a Firearm.<br>The FBI continue the search for Hernandez, described as five-foot-four and weighs approximately 190 pounds, black hair, brown eyes with multiple tattoos on his forearm.
