Isaac Duran Infante, 23, admitted he strangled his ex-girlfriend and former DeWitt Clinton HS science teacher, Felicia Barahona, with an electrical cord while their son, Miguel, watched in horror in their Harlem apartment on Dec. 22, 2016.
Prosecutor Nicole Blumberg told the court, “[Infante] confessed on video that he intentionally killed [Barahona] by strangling her with a cord and then confessed to killing Miguel by strangling him with a different cord.
“While gasping for air and fighting for life [Barahona] screamed out to the child to call 911.
The prosecutor then detailed the defendant’s deception: “The defendant’s next choice was to murder his little boy and leave [him] lying face down in a bathtub filled with water.
“After the horrific crimes, the defendant attempted to cover up these murders. [Infante] staged a murder suicide and went to the precinct posing as a grieving father,” Blumberg said.
With nowhere to go, a stone-faced defendant admitted to the court, “I strangled them.”
