The dismembered body found in the trunk of a Tesla abandoned in Los Angeles neighborhood last week has been identified as a woman with a haunting tattoo.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police department made the discovery on Monday August 8, at a Los Angeles impound lot after employees reported a foul odor coming from a vehicle that had been sitting in the tow yard for a few days.
The dark colored Tesla with Texas plates had been abandoned in the Hollywood Hills area five days earlier. The vehicle is registered to singer 20-year-old David Anthony Burke, better known as D4vd.

The woman’s ‘head and torso’ were found inside a bag in the Tesla’s trunk, according to authorities, but the state of decomposition of the remains stalled the immediate determination of the woman’s age or ethnicity.
The woman was about 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighed just 71 pounds, officials said, although it is not clear whether that was her weight before her death.
The deceased woman who has wavy dark hair, was wearing a tube top, black leggings, yellow metal stud earrings with a metal chain bracelet. A tattoo on her right index finger read ‘Shhh,’ according to a medical examiner’s report.

Burke, who said he is cooperating with police, performed on Tuesday night in Minneapolis. as a scheduled stop on his ongoing world tour, while the Tesla registered in his name was towed after it was reportedly left abandoned for days in the Hollywood Hills area.
According to a TMZ reported the singer who is currently touring, was unaware of his vehicle’s location when police contacted him.
It’s unclear whether the vehicle was used by another person without the singer’s knowledge permission or with his consent. There is the possibility it may have been stolen.
‘D4vd has been informed about what’s happened,’ a spokesperson for the singer told NBC.
‘And although he is still on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities.’

D4vd who reportedly is cooperating with police, performed Tuesday night in Minneapolis. As part of his ongoing world tour, he is billed this week, to perform in Missouri, Colorado and Utah
The case has been classified as a death investigation, said Los Angeles Police Officer Charles Miller.
D4vd who first gained notoriety on TikTok, where he has 3.6million followers is currently in the middle of a world tour, with dates across Europe set for next month. In the aftermath Rolling Stone reported that Crocs and Hollister announced they were pulling a campaign that featured the artist.
‘We are aware of this developing story. With respect to the current situation, we have removed campaign content featuring D4vd while the investigation continues,’ the brands said in a joint statement.
