<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A Florida man who executed his pregnant teenage girlfriend and her unborn child after she refused to get an abortion, and is facing the death penalty.<br>Donovan Faison, 23, was convicted last week of murdering 18-year-old Kaylin Fiengo, who was found shot dead in her car beside an ultrasound image on November 11, 2022. <br>Fiengo had driven to Coastline Park on the night of Nov. 11 to meet up with Faison, according to cops.<br>The same night, after 11 p.m., she was found dead with a gunshot wound in the driver’s seat of her parked car<br>The murder happened shortly after she sent him the results of two positive pregnancy tests, to which he texted back, “Abortion!!!”<br>Faison “erupted” and felt “angry and pressured” because he was at the time, living with another woman who suspected him of cheating, police said.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">“On my brothers [sic] grave, I’m gonna crop her out,” he texted a friend about the his uncompromising pregnant &#8216;other woman&#8217;.<br>Shortly after sending the text, Faison lured Fiengo to a meeting at Coastline Park in Sanford, just north of Orlando, the night Kaylin Fiengo who was already the mom of to a one-year-old son, named Ace, was found dead in the driver’s seat of her still running Nissan versa. <br>Before leaving she had told a friend she was going there to meet with Faison.<br>A Sanford police officer who was patrolling the park noticed the car backed into a parking spot and still running. When he peered inside, he discovered the body in the driver’s seat, police said.<br>A bullet casing and an ultrasound image were found near Fiengo’s body, according to the police report.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Investigators discovered the pair had been having frequent arguments over Fiengo’s pregnancy in the prior weeks.<br>Faison reportedly wanted Fiengo to terminate her pregnancy but she refused and investigators believe her refusal was the “probable motive” for her murder, Sanford police said at the time.<br>“This was an execution-style killing,” prosecutors told the jury, pointing out to the panel that they “should consider the cold, calculated, premeditated nature of this killing,” in their deliberations.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The pregnant teen was at the end of her first trimester at the time of her murder. Prosecutor Domenick Leo told jurors during closing arguments that the phone messages gave “clear, convincing evidence.”<br>“He said he was going to do it, then he did it,” Leo said of the killer who was arrested around 10 months after the murder. “The police got the right guy.”<br>Jurors <a href="https://www.kalb.com/2025/11/03/man-killed-18-year-old-girlfriend-after-she-refused-get-an-abortion-prosecutors-say/">voted 11-1</a> to recommend the death penalty. He is scheduled to be sentenced on December 5.</p>
