A New Jersey police officer who was charged along with his wife for having sex in front of their kids had died by suicide, prosecutors announced.
Brian DiBiasi, 40, and his wife, Elizabeth DiBiasi, 43, were arrested on January 29, after allegedly sharing nude images of themselves with their children in the background and bragging about having sex in front of them online.
The law enforcement couple who are yet to be formally charged were released on bail in February after the case was moved to a different county due to their law enforcement connections.

New Jersey police officer Brian DiBiasi and his wife, Elizabeth DiBiasi, a veteran sheriff’s deputy were arrested in January after allegedly sharing nude images of themselves with their kids in the background
Brian served 21 years with the Hamilton police at a salary of $136,000 per year, while Elizabeth served 18 years with the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office and earned $134,000 per year. Both were subsequently fired from their high-paying jobs after news broke of the disturbing allegations against them.
Nearly nine months after his arrest, Brian was found dead by suicide on October 28, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
Hopewell Township police officers reportedly, were called to a state park in the early morning hours and discovered the disgraced cop with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The husband and wife had been released from jail on strict conditions that included restricted travel and the stipulation that they cannot see their children without approval from child protective services, according to Elizabeth’s attorney Jerry Ballarotto.

DiBiasi social media footprint is filled with images of wholesome family vacations. Authorities found their alleged actions especially shocking since they were both police officers
His client is shocked and was utterly unaware of her husband’s actions, Ballarotto said: ‘Nobody saw this coming. Brian’s case wasn’t that bad, because what he did was not good, but it wasn’t nearly as serious as what he was accused of doing. This could have been worked out.’
Investigators arrested the couple after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip about the images and videos.
Brian allegedly used the messaging app Kik to send ‘image and video files of suspected child sexual exploitation and abuse material’, New Jersey Attorney General Matt Platkin said in a statement.
He allegedly shared 36 media files containing pictures and videos.
Elizabeth DiBiasi appeared nude in the images with children, who were at times nude as well. The Kik account with the child pornography files led to the couple’s home, authorities said.
The couple also had sex in front of the children, authorities said in court documents filed in support of the charges.

Despite her lawyer claiming she was ‘utterly unaware of her husband’s actions’, mother-of-two Elizabeth DiBiasi [photo], who is facing one count of endangering the welfare of a child by engaging in sexual conduct, also lost her job as a sheriff’s deputy
The couple’s social media is filled with images of them smiling on family vacations with their young children. Authorities said the couple’s alleged actions were especially shocking due to their positions as police officers.
‘Sexual offenses against children are among the most serious crimes we charge,’ Platkin said.
‘It’s especially disturbing when, as in this case, the accused are members of law enforcement. Protecting children from this kind of lasting harm is one of our most important responsibilities.’
The disgraced cop had been part of an online fetish group, and used an artificial intelligence program to generate the perverse images he later shared with the group, but was never formally indicted, as prosecutors were still investigating the allegations.
He was facing five charges, including possessing around 1,000 images of child sexual abuse material and endangering the welfare of a child, as well as possessing images of child sexual abuse with the intent to distribute.
Elizabeth is facing a single count of endangering the welfare of a child by engaging in sexual conduct.
