<p>A group of juveniles from Philadelphia, all between the ages of 14 to 15 years &#8211; accused of robbing a Dick&#8217;s Sporting Goods store in Florida while attending a youth sports tournament, have been publicly named and shamed by a no-nonsense sheriff in Seminole County, Florida.<br>Members of the eight-strong mob were arrested and hit with felony charges after their alleged December 6, mass shop lifting spree in Davenport.<br>The teenagers are members of the United Thoroughbreds football team from Philadelphia and were in Davenport to face the Coco Tigers team for the Prolifix Sportz National Championship. </p>

<p>The youths were arrested at the store and will need to travel back to Florida from Philadelphia to face felony charges. While they were in jail, their team lost the championship game 26-6.<br>Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd mocked the gang at a press conference on Monday, saying their alleged spree cost their team the championship game after their arrests meant they missed the crucial game. <br>Attributing their lopsided loss, &#8216;I don&#8217;t know if these were starters or not, but we were finishers,&#8217; Judd said at the press conference. <br>Florida Governor Ron DeSantis also took aim at the suspects on X, sharing footage of Judd&#8217;s press conference with the caption: &#8216;They picked the wrong state — and the wrong county.&#8217; </p>

<p>At the press conference, Judd named the juveniles, all aged between 14 and 15, as Daimon Johnson, Elijah Myers, Ibm-Mahdee Abdul-Haqq, Jacob Smith, Marcus Hudgens, Mark Bryan, Tymir Smith and Tymir Speller. <br>The suspects accused of stealing a total of 47 items worth more than $2,200, according to Sheriff Judd, &#8216;systematically&#8217; swept the store by splitting into two groups. <br>The group allegedly, targeted goods by having one teenager legitimately buy an item while the others looked for products to swipe. <br>The youngster who purchased an item then met the others inside, who stuffed a Dick&#8217;s store bag with stolen merchandise in hopes of sneaking it out of the store, authorities said. <br>&#8216;They stole, and they stole, and they stole,&#8217; the sheriff repeated as he showed a list of the items that were allegedly stolen. </p>

<p> &#8216;Not only did they steal, but ostensibly they may have cost their team the championship,&#8217; Judd said.<br> Store employees watched the alleged thefts unfold on surveillance cameras while the teenagers appeared to believe they had gotten away with it. <br>&#8216;Guess what&#8230; you can&#8217;t go anyplace, anytime that you&#8217;re not on camera,&#8217; Judd said. <br>Surveillance footage showed the group moving around the store during the alleged theft, and they were seen placing items into bags, including hoodies, football gloves and lip guards. <br>Judd said that when the teenagers were arrested at the store, their football coach raced to the scene in a futile attempt to convince officers not to take the youths into custody. </p>

<p>Sheriff Judd said deputies were not impressed that the coach tried to &#8216;beg them out of it instead of holding them accountable.&#8217; <br>&#8216;They were not taking bubble gum, one piece to chew. They stole over $2,000 worth of products, over 47 different products,&#8217; he added. <br>The championship game was held hours after the arrests. Their team lost, heavily. &#8216;They let the team down. What about the rest of the kids on the team?&#8217; the sheriff continued. <br>None of the teens had prior criminal records, but all eight teens were taken to a juvenile detention center in Florida and now face two felonies each for retail theft over $750 and conspiracy to commit retail theft. <br>Later released from custody, the teenagers are required to go back to the Florida to face charges. </p>
