A married California woman, who doubled as an OnlyFans model and high-end escort breakdown on the stand Monday as she was handed a four-year sentence for involuntary manslaughter in the case of a client who died following their sexual encounter.
Michael Dale, 55, died from asphyxiation when the escorted who service he hired placed duct tape over his mouth and a plastic bag and Saran Wrap over his head during a recorded encounter.
The service provider, Michaela Rylaarsdam was originally facing a second-degree murder charge in the death of Michael Dale, and potentially 25 years to life in prison, following her arrest in April 2025.
Early last month, Rylaarsdam, 32, who operated under her porn industry name, Asshley Sincal, pled guilty to the reduced charge of involuntary manslaughter.
At her sentencing on Monday, the mother-of-three stood behind a barrier while on the stand in San Diego Superior Court, weeping as she issued an apology to the victim’s family.
Dale’s family was not in the courtroom, but Rylaarsdam’s husband and uncle were both present for her sentencing. Still a teary Rylaarsdam apologized to the bereaved family: “It needs to be said, there are no words. There are no words. ‘I’m sorry’ is not enough, and I have a million emotions, but I would say the desire to go back and undo this would be at the top. If I could change this…,” she said.

Rylaarsdam was arrested last month and is charged with second-degree murder, to which she initially pled not guilt. Her lawyer claimed she was engaged in consensual sexual activities and did not expect Dale would die during the encounter

While the encounter and subsequent death of Dale occurred in San Diego County, Rylaarsdam, reportedly a ten-year veteran of the sex work industry, was based in Menifee, Riverside County.
Detailed account of the incident read in court, states that Dale’s limbs were bound during the encounter, hence he was unable to remove the items covering his mouth and head. He remained inside the bag for approximately eight minutes, resulting in asphyxiation.
The 55-year-old was declared brain-dead the following day.
The adult entertainer, his partner during the tryst, immediately called 911 following the incident, according to her husband Brandon Rylaarsdam.
Dale reportedly paid $11,000 for this particular encounter. Michaela’s adult entertainment career was not unknown to her husband. Infact he managed ‘Their business,’ according to police.

Rylaarsdam is married to Brandon Rylaarsdam and has three sons, according to her kink site, Secret Hostess, where she posted pictures of herself and boasted about her secret life under the name “Ashley SinCal,” adding, “the h is silent.”
She described herself as an “upscale and classy creation” with “10 years of experience.”
On her Secret Hostess page, she claimed to be a “chameleon of this industry,” offering “intoxicating and provocative performance[s]” and “naughty games.”
Her website advertised several services, including the “Ultimate Incall,” her highest-priced offering at $1,500.
Other services included the “Toy Show” for $200 and the “Wild Incall” for $1,100, while a “Mild Incall” was listed at $800. Outcall services were offered at rates $300 lower than the corresponding in-call options.

Rylaarsdam also advertised FaceTime or Zoom play sessions for $150 and noted that a $25 nonrefundable deposit was required.
According to the listing, deposits could be paid through Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, or by invoice.
Rylaarsdam reportedly specialized in “incorporat[ing] acrobatics into my lap dances,” boasting that “NO OTHER listed on this site is as professional as I am.”
Her attorney, Dan Cohen, previously stated that his client had no intention of killing Dale, arguing that although consent is not a legal defense, it is “certainly a mitigating factor.”
“I think there was no intent to kill and no attempt to cover this up,” he said. “And she acted appropriately when she realized this was a problem.
“There is definitely a consensual element… . . not only something he consented to, something he was actively seeking.”
However, Superior Court Judge Brad Weinreb still had harsh words for Rylaarsdam.
“I know you’ve taken responsibility, but at the end of the day we’re dealing with the unfortunate and preventable death that was caused by your actions.
“The actions were so reckless that death was almost certain,” Judge Weinreb told Rylaarsdam.
