Lee’s family, it would appear, has been caught in the crosshairs of retaliatory strikes between associates and rival groups in the city. Lee’s brother Pachino (Chino) Braxton, a famous rapper and dirt bike rider signed to rapper Meek Mill’s Dream Chasers record label, just survived being shot with two bullets to the head in February.
In a series of tweets posted early Thursday morning Braxton wrote: “My lil’ sister was standing at the door when I got shot in my head … She was standing in the door when her other brother lost his life! They tell us to keep it real but kills us. ”
T.J. Smith, Director of Communications for the Baltimore PD, suggested that Scoota’s murder, the attack on Pachino and now Lee’s death were all in retaliation for a violent act committed by one of Scoota’s associates.

Smith stated: “Lor Scoota associated with some people who didn’t have the best character. Someone he associated with committed an act of violence. Whoever committed that act of violence may have been close to Lor Scoota and the bad guys knew that so they killed Scoota,” Smith said.
During the press coference Smith said, the shooting of Braxton, the murder of Scoota and the murder of Lee could be part of Baltimore’s “tennis match of violence” culture, where one crime leads to a cycle of retaliation style murders.
“It is not normal for several member of one family to be victims of such violent crime like this,” Smith said.
