The Democratic National Committee apologized on Monday to Bernie Sanders for “inexcusable remarks” made about him by top DNC staffers as revealed in hacked emails.
“On behalf of everyone at the DNC, we want to offer a deep and sincere apology to Senator Sanders, his supporters, and the entire Democratic Party for the inexcusable remarks made over email,” reads a statement released by the party late Monday afternoon.
“These comments do not reflect the values of the DNC or our steadfast commitment to neutrality during the nominating process. The DNC does not — and will not — tolerate disrespectful language exhibited toward our candidates.”
“Individual staffers have also rightfully apologized for their comments, and the DNC is taking appropriate action to ensure it never happens again,” says the statement issued by interim DNC chair Donna Brazile and her board.

Ths Sanders camp, and for that matter, the Webb and O’Malley campaigns also protested that the DNC secretariat operations was designed from the get go to tip the scale to favor Sec Clinton. The seething Sanders havie been chafing at the bit of open revolt gainst the DNC, specifically demanding the the resignation of Wasserman Schultz. The congresswoman from Florida got the chop after leaked emails showed a systemic operation by top members of the DNC secretariat to boost Hillary Clinton’s presidential primary bid, while sabotaging the efforts of the other candidates. After initial chants of “Debbie, Debbie” from her home-state loyalists, Wasserman Schultz was met with a chorus of boos from pro-Sanders activists crashing the party, who waved “e-mails” signs, seemingly attacking not just the chairwoman but the presumptive nominee, as well.

Try as she could, the lameduck chair could not bring the proceedings to order: “Settle down, everybody,” she attempted as the meeting got underway. When that wasn’t enough, another woman attempted to gavel them down, but the boos continued.
“I can see other’s a little bit of interest in my being here and I appreciate that interest,” the chairwoman said said to no avail.

Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, Martin O’Malley: The DNC chair was accused of keeping her candidacy front and center to the disadvantage of the rest of the field.
“The voices in this room that are standing up and being disruptive, we know that that’s not the Florida we know.”
The rancor from the role Wasserman schultz played in undermining the field of competitors to Secretary Clinton during the primaries, threatens to overshadow the crux of the party’s event in sweltering Philadelphia, the affirmation of the democratic nominee for the 2016 presidential elections.

Wasserman Schultz is still wrangling to retain her speakeing slot at the full convention on opening day, but if the hostile reception she received this morning is anything to go by, she may be out of steam trying to may be enough to persuade Democrats her addressing convention goers willbe a good idea.
