<p class="mol-para-with-font">One of the residents of a home in home in Citronelle, Alabama, rang 911 shortly after midnight, Fridy, to report that Derrick Dearman was trespassing on the property but he fled before police arrived. He returned to the home later that night to kill them while they slept with &#8216;multiple instruments&#8217; including one gun.</p>
<p>Dearman, a 27-year-old Mississippi resident murdered five people who lined in the home while they slept, before kidnapping his estranged girlfriend and a three-month-old baby. His girlfriend laneta Lester came to the home on Friday to stay with her sister and escape their &#8216;abusive relationship&#8217;.</p>

Police on Sunday identified Laneta Lester, 24, as the only adult survivor of the massacre near Mobile. Lester escaped with the 3-month-old child of one victim, police said.<br />
Dearman, broke into the house in Citronelle, Alabama, where his girlfriend was staying to escape their &#8216;abusive relationship&#8217; and killed what is believed to be her extended family.</p>

He then kidnapped his girlfriend, Laneta Lester, and one of the victims&#8217; babies before driving to his father&#8217;s house where he released Laneta and the child before turning himself in to the Greene County Sheriff&#8217;s Office. Authorities have not disclosed how the victims were killed, but said that at least one gun was used.<br />
Neighbors say that a brother and sister and their two families, including children, lived in the home.</p>

<p>A woman first reported the crime by walking into the Citronelle police station to report a body at the property on Saturday afternoon. The crime scene was too gruesome even for veteran officers who were horrified at the bloody scene when they arrived at the blood-stained home located a few hundred yards into the woods.</p>
