The victim’s mother told investigators her daughter had sex with Ingleheart, according to the warrant. The document also showed he had asked the girl for the nude photos, and discussed masturbation with her on Kik,
Investigators from the department’s Internet Crimes Against Children unit said they also obtained security camera footage from the Days Inn showing Igleheart at the motel with several different women. Police are investigating whether there may have been other victims.
“We will not tolerate these types of crimes against our children,” DeKalb Public Safety Director Cedric Alexander said in a statement. “The protection of our children is a priority.”
Igleheart faces charges of sexual exploitation of a child, enticing a child for indecent purposes and furnishing alcohol for a minor. He remained incarcerated Friday afternoon.
Igleheart, an alumni of Furman University, South Carolina and University of Georgia is listed as mayor pro tem for the city of 94,000, in his bio. The is married council man was first elected to the City Council in the Atlanta suburb in 2001. He is listed as an actor, writer, producer and voice-over artist, according to his bio on the Roswell website. He once owned a clean energy and environmental protection consulting firm and served as executive director of Scenic Georgia.
It wasn’t immediately clear whether he would hold on to his seat on the Roswell City Council, where his term is set to expire at the end of 2017.
Elected officials convicted of a crime involving “moral turpitude” are required to resign under the city’s charter. The City Council may also vote out its members.
