Wright’s long term roommate Mark Holdbrooks has been arrested in connection with his murder
Authorities say that Wright was last seen alive Nov. 5, 2015 at his home in Closter. He was reported missing on Nov. 8, 2015 by Holdbrooks, who was Wright’s roommate, saying he had neither seen nor heard from him for three days.
The investigation alleges that Holdbrooks drugged and murdered Wright in the home, with help from Victor. The two men allegedly loaded Wright’s body into his white Lexus and then Victor drove the car to Brooklyn, where it was abandoned.
Medical examiners say Wright died from head trauma.
The Bergen County Acting Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal, announced Wednesday, that Wright’s longtime roommate in N.J., Mark A. Holdbrooks, 59, and a 35-year-old accomplice, David Victor, who also goes by the name King Victor have been arrested and charged with his murder.

New Jersey and NYPD detectives arrested both men Tuesday. A Bergen County judge set their bail at $3 million each, and they’re awaiting extradition from New York.
Wright was a forward for the Arizona Wildcats between 1998 and 2000. He was good enough to become a draft pick in 2001.

Wright from Chicago, ended up playing basketball overseas. He played a forward for the Arizona Wildcats between 1998 and 2000. He was drafted by the Knicks in 2001, but never made it onto the roster.
Joining the overseas basketball circuit and played in Poland, Turkey and France.
Wright’s love of basketball started at Farragut Career Academy in Chicago, where he shared the court with former NBA great, Kevin Garnett.
In January 2015, Wright signed with Cholet Basket, a pro team in France, but left the team a month later, it is believed he was planning to go back to Europe before he died.
