Noor Salman, the wife of the closet gay jihadi who massacred clubgoers in Orlando, Fla., has been busted in connection with the mass murder of patrons in an Orlando gay nightclub last June, by her husband Omar Mateen, law enforcement officials said Monday.
Salman was taken into custody by FBI agents at her home outside of San Francisco. CBS News reported that prosecutors had been contemplating charges against charges thew 31-year-old widow of the man reponsible for the massacar at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida in June 2016
Salman was reportedly charged with obstruction. Noor Salman is facing charges of aiding and abetting, as well as obstruction of justice in the case of the worst mass shooting in American history.
The 31-year-old had moved to the San Francisco area after the June shooting, in which her husband was killed by SWAT team members after slaughtering 49 people inside a popular gay nightclub.
Her husband, Omar Mateen, was killed in a shootout with cops after the bloodbath last in a gay nightclub on June 12.
Investigators who interviewed Salman and concluded she lying about how much she knew about her husband’s plans. It was alleged that during the shooting, Omar Mateen was communicating with his wife Salman, via text message. A law enforcement source said the couple exchanged, “I love you.”

According to reports obtained by CBS, Salman was interviewed multiple times by the FBI and was administered a polygraph test. Law enforcement sources have long suspected she had a role in the attack, saying previously that Salman purchased ammunition with her husband, and they believe she drove with him as he cased the Pulse nightclub prior to the shooting.
Salman had told FBI she tried to stop her husband from committing the attack, but establishing that she drove withthe jihadist to case the club prior to the attack, led to the concern that she had knowledge of the attack but never reached out to law enforcement in an attempt to prevent it.
American born and raised Salman,who grew up in the San Francisco suburb of Rodeo with her parents of Palestinian origin.
She allegedly, met Mateen, a security guard, bodybuilder and devout Muslim, online. They were married late in 2011 and have a son, now aged 4. In December, 2016 Salman petitioned to have the name that her 4-year-old son shares with his father be Mateen changed. A hearing is scheduled for February, on that petition. Meanwhile, the FBI is characterizing the shooting at Pulse nightclub as both a terrorist attack and a hate crime
She was expected to appear in federal court in San Francisco on Tuesday
