A caller tipped off the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office about the incident. The caller who said that the mother of the host, Jaimie Ayer, was inappropriately involved with two juveniles, ages 16 and 17 at the party. She was arrested and charged with unlawful sexual activity with the two teenagers.
After further investigation, police accounted for three more victims last week, making a total of five victims who have now been identified, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office. Three of them are 16-year-old boys, the latest development led to J 40-year-old Ayer being charged with an additional four counts of unlawful sexual activity.
Ayer is facing seven counts, all stemming from an incident on Dec. 23 in which she allegedly was giving alcohol and having sex with minors at a party hosted by her child. Students from two local high schools were invited, according to detectives.
In an affidavit of probable cause submitted to police, Ayer came home to meet the party in her home and joined the teens. She also supplied them with alcohol before she allegedly, told one of the teens that she was going up to shower and suggested that he come up and help her. While showering she suggested sex to the minor. Party goers later found her having sex with the 17-year-old and the 16-year-old.
Investigators said Ayer was heavily intoxicated when they arrested her on Jan. 18 at her home.
She is currently being held at the Manatee County jail on bond of $7,500 for seven felony counts of Unlawful Sexual Activity.
