Indiana authorities looking for person of interest in murder of teens Libby German and Abby Williams

Investigators in Indiana released photos of a person of interest Wednesday night, in connection to the murder of two teenage schoolgirls whose bodies were found on Tuesday near a hiking trail.

The mystery man allegedly, was walking on the Delphi Historic Trails around the same time 13-year-old Abby Williams and her 14-year-old pal Libby German were walking in the area, according to the Indiana State Police.
“We are asking help from the public to help identify him so he can be contacted regarding what he might have seen,” state cops said in a press release.
The man in the photo can be seen wearing a blue jacket and a hat as he walks on the path.
Additionally, authorities are seeking anyone who may have parked in the area between 1 and 5 p.m. on Monday.

The bodies of the two teens were found Tuesday in a wooded area about 50 feet from the banks of Deer Creek, 60 miles northwest of Indianapolis. The discovery was made in an area less than a mile upstream from the railroad bridge that’s known to residents as the Monon High Bridge.
The girls were identified on Wednesday, but authorities are not yet releasing the cause or manner of their deaths.
“The investigation is still in its baby steps, so to speak, and we don’t want to put that information out yet,” State Police Sgt. Kim Riley said Wednesday.
Sgt. Riley said a relative of one of the girls dropped them off Monday near the bridge and another relative had agreed to pick them up later. They were reported missing Monday evening.

According to WLFI The girls went hiking because the school they attended did not have classes on Monday.
Libby, 14, and Abby, 13, were both honor roll students in the fall semester,according to the local Carroll County Comet.
Indiana autorities said anyone who can identify the man in the photos should contact the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department or the Delphi Police Department at (765) 564-2345, or the Indiana State Police at (765) 567-2125.

    When the photo of Anna Williams was taken, it was the night before her daughter and her daughter’s best friend were found. This is a video still from a television interview, and Anna believed her child was still living.
