Men accused of kidnapping Celine Dookhran, tasering and raping the teen before stuffing her butchered body in the freezer of a multi-million dollar Kingston home, in a suspected honor killing will stand trial next year.  A trial date has been set for January 17, 2018, for both men.
Building contractor Mujahid Arshid, 33, and his accomplice Vincent Tappu, 28, have been n accused of dragging the teenage Indian Muslim out of a shower before tasing, raping and murdering her,
Aspiring make-up artist Celine Dookhran, 19, was killed on July 19, and a post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as an incised wound to the neck. Court documents said she was bound with duct tape and rope before being bundled into a vehicle. The motive behind the alleged ‘honor killing’, the court heard, was because she was dating an Arab Muslim, and her Indian Muslim family did not approve.

The dead victim, and a 21-year-old friend were then driven to a house under renovation, where contractor Mujahid Arshid, allegedly raped both women and fatally cut Celine’s throat in an honor killing, The Sun reported.
Dookhran’s  body was found inside the South West London home last week after her friend alerted police from hospital, police said.
Autopsy reports determined the victim was killed on July 19, and the cause of death as an incised wound to the neck.
The court heard family members claim they had to calm the suspect, Arshid, on a previous occasion, when he grabbed an axe and screwdriver, threatening the victim’s boyfriend.
Arshid appeared in court Wednesday, charged with the murder, rape and kidnap of the teen.
He is further charged with the rape, attempted murder and kidnap of the second woman.

Appearing alongside his co-defendant, Vincent Tappu, 28, who is charged with the kidnap of both women, at the London’s Old Bailey cour, neither man entered any pleas. A trial date has been set for January 17, 2018.
Addressing the court on the case earlier this week the prosecutor, Binita Roscoe, said: “The deceased was involved in a relationship with an Arab Muslim and the family members didn’t approve of this relationship because they are Indian Muslims.”
District Judge James Henderson remanded Tappu, of Ealing, west London, and Arshid, who gave no fixed address, in custody.
Both men have a trial date of January 17, 2018 in the London court.
A third suspect in th case was released pending investigation 20 July 20. The 29-year-old woman is suspected of having assisted in the kidnap and murder.
