Tara Gotovnik, 35, was charged with first-degree sexual assault of a child and delivery of a controlled substance, news station KITI reported.
Gotovnik is accused of putting sleeping pills into a 10-year-old’s slushy on Aug. 7 at her Greendale home, causing the boy to have double vision and slurred speech.
Police said that the 35-year-old then took off her clothes and told the boy to perform a sex act on her. She also reportedly used sex toys on the child.
Gotovnik reportedly told the boy after the encounter that they could “go online and make money for doing it,” according to authorities.
The boy’s father contacted police after his son said he had been drugged and that he didn’t want to go back to the home. The boy told investigators this was not the first time this had happened.
Investigators said that the 10-year-old’s account matched his father’s report the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Police interviewed the boy the next day. He described the sexual assault and another incident when Gotovnik made him take a pill that caused him to become dizzy, throw up and urinate on himself.
Searching of her residence investigators found sex toys that matched the boy’s description. Police collected pill containers, including one for sleeping pills, as evidence.
Questioned, Gotovnik about the sexual assault allegations, she said, “I don’t remember anything from that night.” She told police she gave the boy an Ambien on two separate occasions, including the day the child claimed he had been assaulted, but denied the sexual assault allegations.
Gotovnik could face at least 25 years in prison for the alleged assault.
