Surveillance video from the gas station shows the woman climb out of the trunk and flee to safety after the man suspected of kidnapping her stopped for gas.
Footage from a gas station in Clanton shows a blue Ford Taurus pulling up to a pump. A man exits the vehicle and walks into the convenience store. Seconds later, the trunk pops up and a woman jumps out and bolts towards the store.
Video from inside the store shows the woman running to the counter for help as her alleged kidnapper bolts from the store and fled in her car which he’d stolen.

Police later identified the man as Timothy Wyatt, a fugitive from previous kidnap charges, NBC affiliate, WCMH-TV reports.
Authorities said Wyatt, 36, entered his victim’s home around 2:30 a.m. on Monday, and allegedly started strangling her as she slept. The victim woke up, and Wyatt reportedly demanded money before tying her hands behind her back and forcing her into her blue Ford Taurus.
The kidnapper continuously threatened to stab the victim while driving, and then stopped in a remote area and forced the victim into the trunk of the vehicle. Wyatt then drove to a service station in Clanton, according to the release

He then pulled into the service station for gas.
Wyatt was captured Halloween night as he was sleeping in an abandoned building.
