<p>An Omaha man who served more than a decade on jail for the murder of his wife, nearly two decades ago, again is wanted for murder after a triple homicide occurred in North Omaha, Nebraska on Dec. 26 evening.<br />
Wednesday morning a felony warrant for first-degree murder was issued for John Dalton Jr., who was originally named a person of interest in the case.<br />

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Police are searching for a convicted killer John Dalton after three members of his family were found dead from gunshot wounds in Omaha, Nebraska Tuesday evening.<br />
Officers from Omaha PD responding to a domestic disturbance call at a home in North Omaha met the gory scene.<br />

Dalton, his mother Jean Dalton, 65, and his 18-year-old Leonna Dalton-Phillip.<br />
All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.<br />
Police were summoned to the home which the <a class="" href="http://www.omaha.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Omaha World-Herald </a>reported belongs to John W. Dalton, shortly before 8 p.m. on Tuesday.<br />
John Dalton Jr., the suspect in Tuesday night’s triple homicide in north Omaha, has been arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service, Wednesday. <a href="http://www.wbbjtv.com/2017/12/27/breaking-triple-homicide-suspect-nebraska-captured-jackson/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">TV station WBBJ is reports</a> that Dalton was taken into custody on the north side of Jackson, Tennessee, on Interstate 40. Omaha Police have confirmed his arrest.</p>

<p class="imageCaption">A few hours after the shooting, friends and relatives of the victims congregated near St. Mark Baptist Church on Spaulding St., to grieve and pay their respects to their lost loved ones.<br />
Th junior Dalton, previously served eleven years in prison for the murder of his then 22-year-old wife, Shannon Dalton, whom he shot in the head in 1998.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">The couple had been married five years at the time with three children, aged six, five and three at the time of their mother&#8217;s death.<br />
The children allegedly heard the shooting but did not see anything. Her body was discovered on the floor of their shared living room.</p>

<p>In 1998, John Dalton Jr shot his wife, Shannon, 22, in the home they shared with the couple’s three children. Her body was found early Labor Day morning on the floor of the living room of the couple’s home.<br />
After the shooting, Dalton escaped in his wife’s car but was pulled over a few days later in Tennessee for a traffic violation and extradited back to Omaha to face charges.</p>

<p>Dalton was charged with second-degree murder, and police looked for him for two days before he turned up just north of Nashville, driving his slain wife’s Ford Tempo.</p>

<p>The couple’s daughters, ages 6, 5 and 3 at the time, were sleeping in a bedroom down the hallway at the time of the shooting, prosecutors said.</p>

<p>After Dalton’s conviction in 1999, Shannon’s mother, Floria Cullum, told Omaha World-Herald that her daughter had wanted to get out of the relationship: “She had made up her mind,” she said.</p>

<p>The children, Brittiney, Shanel and Alysha Dalton, were placed in the care of Dalton’s mother, Jean Dalton. Their grandparents, among those killed Tuesday, remained their guardians until the children became adults.<br />
Although Dalton’s children either declined to comment to the media, Brittiney wrote on Facebook about the newest accusations against her father: “My dad literally has taken everything from us. He took my mother now my grandparents and my little cousin. I don’t think I can handle this pain. &#8230; I know what hate feels like.”</p>
