A 40-year-old woman was killed early Tuesday in Southeast Bexar County, Texas after she suddenly made a U-turn and her car was hit by a pickup truck driven by her husband, who was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.
Carl Morrison, 49, and his wife were in separate cars when Marlena Chan Morrison made a sudden U-turn, he ended up violently crashing into her on a rural road, killing her.
It’s not clear why the couple were driving separately or if the couple were racing or chasing one another down the highway.

His 40-year-old wife, Marlena, was traveling in a black sedan when she made a U-turn for an unknown reason.
As she did so, her husband T-boned her with his red pickup truck, killing her.
Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.
Morrison has been charged with intoxication manslaughter. He was booked into the Bexar County Jail on a $35,000 bond.
He did not suffer any injuries in the collision.

Traffic investigators are now looking into how the accident might have happened.
Online records show Carl Morrison Jr. had a prior arrest for driving while intoxicated in Bell County in 2014.
Records show he was placed a year probation.
Photos from their Facebook pages indicate that the Morrison’s loved showing off their autos. Morrison would often take pictures of himself sitting behind the wheel of his pickup truck. Marlena wasn’t left out of the auto love either.
