The father who made news today after attempting to attack a man convicted of sexually molesting all his children at very young age won sympathy from the presiding judge.
All of Randall Margraves’ three daughters have accused Larry Nassar of sexual abuse. However, he will not be punished for charging at the former United States Gymnastics doctor during his sentencing hearing Friday morning.
Margraves was tackled to the ground after he attempted to attack Nassar on the second day of his latest sentencing in Eaton County.
The convicted sexual predator previously pled guilty to molesting the three gymnasts at TwiStars Gym, a local club run by former 2012 Olympic coach John Geddert.
Two of Margraves’ daughters, Lauren and Madison Rae, had just finished giving their victim impact statements when the father requested a moment alone with Nassar – Margraves’ third daughter, Morgan, was among the more than 150 athletes and young women and addressed Nassar during his seven-day sentencing hearing in Ingham County, Michigan.

He then requested a moment alone with Nassar during the second day of his latest sentencing hearing in Eaton County. His daughters, Lauren and Madison Rae, had just finished giving their victim-impact statements when Margraves addressed the judge, the Lansing State Journal reported.
“My parents are heartbroken and so filled with regret, all three of their children victims of you,” Lauren Margraves told Nassar. “The guilt they have will never go away.
Lauren said she was 13 when she saw the once famed doctor at Michigan Sate University for a hamstring injury.

“I would ask you as part of this sentencing grant me five minutes in a locked room with this demon,” her father later requested.
The request was routinely declined by Judge Janice Cunningham . Margraves Then rushed at the convicted serial sexual predator. He was blocked by Nassar’s defense attorney, Matthew Newburg.
After deputies wrestled the irate dad to the floor, he was handcuffed and led out of the courtroom. He remained in a holding cell while the proceedings continued.

“What if this happened to you guys?” he asked the arresting officers as they led him out. He remained in a holding cell while the proceedings continued.
When all was calm, judge Cunningham addressed Margraves: “I could charge you with contempt. I could put you in jail. I could fine you up to $7,500. I don’t want to do that,” she told him.
“I understand your anger. Wait — I don’t understand. I can’t possibly imagine.”
Margraves apologized to both the deputies and the court, explaining the move was the emotional reaction of a father in pain.

“I’m not here to upstage my daughters. I’m here to help them heal.”
Still Cunningham felt the need to issue a stern warning to Margraves and the others remaining in the Michigan courtroom.
“I cannot tolerate or condone vigilantism or any type of action that basically comes down to an eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth,” she said.

The former Michigan State University sports doctor last month was sentenced to up to 175 years behind bars following days of testimony from more than 160 women, many of them detailing how he abused them under the guise of medical treatment.
In December, he was separately sentenced to 60 years behind bars on child porn charges.
