<div>A substitute teacher in Ohio has pled guilty to charges of sexual battery on Tuesday for having sex with two of her students. Madeline Marx, 24, pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual battery in Ohio court on Tuesday</div>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">This comes three months after Madeline Marx&#8217;s lawyers tried to enter a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity.<br />
After her defense team attempted to enter a &#8216;guilty by insanity&#8217; plea in December, the judge ordered the 24-year-old to undergo a mental evaluation. Court appointed experts discovered that she was sane enough to be held responsible for her actions.<br />
Marx was taken into custody at Kettering Fairmont High on November 8, 2017, after police started investigating the substitute teacher when students went to the administration and said she was having inappropriate relationships with students.<br />
Prosecutors say they discovered that Marx had sexual encounters with two teenage boys aged 16 and 17.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">The younger boy said he had sex with Marx in a car parked behind a Kettering apartment building on September 21.<br />
The other victim said Marx performed oral sex on him in a car parked in a Big Lots parking lot on July 19. Marx also allegedly confessed to sending nude pictures to one of the students on Snapchat and Instagram.<br />
She is due back in court on April 19 for sentencing. She faces up to six years in prison and will have to register as a Tier III Sex Offender.</p>

Marx who wrote on her application to be a teacher: “I am passionate about children and their education. I am a hard-worker, who focuses on individual student’s strengths and needs. I have worked with special needs children since high school.” She cited as her top reason for wanting to be a teacher, as “The ability to provide children an advocate for their education as well as their well-being.”<br />
She had been given a four-year teaching license last year that enabled her to teach grades K-12, WHIO reports.<br />
Marx a member of the 2012 class at the nearby Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School, graduated last year from the University of Dayton. Notably she dropped out of a fall 2013 sexual ethics class, in college.</p>
