Hart reacted to the arrest with an emotional tweet: “Mind blown…Hurt…at a lost (sic) for words and simply in complete disbelief at the moment. WOW”
Hart and Jackson had been close friends for more than 15 years
Jackson was arraigned Wed in Los Angeles, bail was set at $100,000
He faces up to four years in county jail if convicted

Actor Jonathan Todd Jackson, who goes by J.T. was charged with one count of attempted extortion and one count of extortion by threatening letter, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday.
41-year-old Jackson, who is also known as Action Jackson, is accused of trying to extort an undisclosed sum of money from the “Night School” star in August. Jackson allegedly had possession of a compromising video that showed Hart with a woman in Las Vegas, and was trying to shop the footage to various celebrity news sites.
Hart apologized for the contents of the video in an emotional Instagram post in September that ‘fessed up to a “bad error of judgment.”

In the clip, Hart seemingly admitted to cheating on then-pregnant wife Eniko Parrish.
“Sending so many apologies to my wife & kids,” he said. “I gotta do better and I will. I’m not perfect and have never claimed to be …I love you all.”
He is set to be arraigned Wednesday, and prosecutors are recommending bail be set at $100,000. Jackson faces a maximum sentence of four years in county jail if convicted. Related:

Hart’s wife Eniko Parrish [left] came out in support pf her husband [right], and said they had gotten over the incident
Hart appeared to react to the arrest with an emotional tweet that declared his “mind blown.”
“Mind blown…Hurt…at a lost (sic) for words and simply in complete disbelief at the moment. WOW,” he wrote.

It’s unclear what, if any, personal relationship Hart and Jackson had prior to the arrest, But records indicate that the pair had been close friends for more than 15 years, and that Jackson had bit parts in several of Hart’s movies.
TMZ reports that Jackson was in “S.W.A.T.,” “Naked” and even in Kevin’s movie “Think Like a Man Too.” The two have posted several photos together through the years and J.T. even attended Kevin’s bachelor party.
