The officer can be seen raising his fist before punching 20-year-old Emily Weinman at a Wildwood, N.J., beach
The woman, identified by police as Emily Weinman, cried out, “You’re not allowed to hit me like that!”
“I didn’t do anything wrong,” Weinman added, while struggling under the grip of two officers.
What began as an alcohol offense, spiraled into a use of force investigation in the resort city, about 30 miles south of Atlantic City.
After her arrest, Weinman admitted to drinking the beer in a Facebook post, according to NJ.com.
When she walked away to make a phone call, Weinman said the officers followed her.
“I asked them don’t they have something better to do as cops than to stop people for underage drinking on the beach,” she said, according to the newspaper.
The officer reportedly told her, “I was gonna let you go but now I’ll write you up.”
She said the officer then tackled her as she tripped and fell on the beach.
Weinman was slapped with a slew of charges, including two counts of aggravated assault on a police officer, aggravated assault by spitting bodily fluids at a police officer, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, obstruction and minor in possession of alcohol.

Details of the arrest prior to when the video were not immediately clear.
The woman who captured the video said she was napping on the beach and woke to a commotion, which included a wailing baby heard in her footage.
The video, since sharing it to Twitter, has garnered more than 2.3 million views since Saturday evening.
Wildwood PD say they’ve reassigned the officers in the video pending the outcome of an internal affairs investigation.
Wildwood Police Chief Robert Regalbuto was among those views, and even he found the video upsetting, according to officials.
“Chief Regalbuto stated that while he finds this video to be alarming, he does not want to rush to any judgement until having the final results of the investigation,” the department said in a statement.
The officers involved in the arrest were punished with desk duty pending the results of the internal probe, officials said.
