<div>Tesla CEO Elon Musk unveiled the company&#8217;s Model Y on Thursday but many fans were more enamored with his custom Tesla Nike shoes.<br />
As the 47-year-old made his way onto the stage in Hawthorne, California, someone screamed: &#8216;I like your shoes!&#8217;<br />
The outburst prompted the billionaire to launch into an awkward jig where he kicked out his legs to show off the shoes, specially made for him by DM Custom Sneakers.<br />
The custom-made Jordan 1 sneakers were first highlighted by the Los Angeles based company in January.<br />
The Tesla model Y, a crossover debuts with a starting price of $47,000.</div>

They also have a red metallic leather swoosh and Tesla logo while the hide of the Jordans are made with &#8216;black genuine python and black hair on hide.&#8217;<br />
On Facebook, the company said that the pair of shoes were made for Musk as a birthday present from a friend.<br />
While the price of the shoes are currently unknown, other python-skinned shoes on their <a class="class" href="https://www.dmcustomsneakers.com/product/snake-and-python-jordan-1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">website</a> go for $950. But there are shoes on their website that go for upwards of $4000.<br />

Curiously though as the launch happened Tesla <span class="quote down bgQuote" data-channel="/quotes/zigman/118681/composite" data-bgformat="">TSLA, <span class="bgPercentChange">-5.01%</span></span> shares fell nearly 4% on Friday, and are down more than 5% from the moment that Chief Executive Elon Musk announced the vehicle’s unveiling date on Twitter. The crossover starts at $47,000 and ordering one requires a $2,500 deposit, which is more than what Tesla required at the time of the Model 3 reveal.<br />
At the unveiling late Thursday, Musk said Tesla expects to sell more Model Ys than Tesla’s other vehicles combined. Production of the car is expected to start in late 2020, and a standard-range, cheaper car is expected to roll out the factory floor in early 2021 and cost about $39,000.<br />
Fears of manufacturing timeline delays remained as industry watchers noted that the late-2020 goal appears similar to the Model 3’s. delivery ultimately of the sedan was delayed by 9 to 12 months.</p>
