<p class="count-number"><span style="color: var(--color-text);">New York police are investigating a triple homicide after a mother and her two children were found dead in room at their burning Staten Island home on Saturday morning, just hours after her husband almost tried to take his life. </span><span style="color: var(--color-text);">The couple were both US Air Force service members based in Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn, New York.</span></p>

It was not revealed how their mother appeared to have died but it has been reported she had severe injuries to her head and face.<br />
The 37-year-old woman Air Force woman found dead alongside her toddler sons inside their Staten Island, New York home on Saturday morning has been identified as servicewoman Alla Ausheva.<br />
Ausheva was sworn in as an American citizen by Barack Obama at the White House seven years ago, it&#8217;s been revealed.</p>

<p>Russia born Ausheva is believed to be a member of the US Air Force based in Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn. Footage shows her at a Military Naturalization Ceremony in 2012.<br />
Speaking that year Ausheva said: &#8216;It was awesome. I met the president. He&#8217;s just awesome. I&#8217;m so happy.<br />
She told <a class="class" href="https://nypost.com/2012/07/04/from-russia-with-love-3/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">NYPost</a>: &#8216;I always wanted to live here. This is really a country where you can pursue your dream and do what you want to do.&#8217;<br />
Ausheva is understood to have joined the National Guard just three months after moving to America when her husband won the green card lottery.<br />
She said her husband was surprised when she signed up for the New York Army National Guard, adding: &#8216;At first, he was surprised. Then, when I told him I would do it anyway because it was my dream, he was very supportive.&#8217;<br />
In 2012 Obama told the new citizens, including Alla: &#8216;All of you did something profound: You chose to serve. You put on the uniform of a country that was not yet fully your own.&#8217;</p>

Then two miles away from where he was found aimlessly wandering, a colleague of the unidentified deceased woman arrived at her property on Pallisade Street in Arrochar and noticed a small fire on the second story of the brick house.<br />
The door of the home, just off the dead end block of Lilly Pond Avenue, was wide open around 10.30 am and the home was filled with smoke according to the witness.<br />
Police arrived before firefighters responded to the 911 call and then extinguished the flames.</p>
